Jeez guys! I am a diehard Gooner and want to give you a massive amount of respect for the article and the comments of other Utd fans. I think there are some obvious similarities between our clubs which probably helps both sets of fans see where the others are coming from. Especially when it comes to playing football as it should be played and manager loyalty (having the 2 longest serving managers, not only in the PL, but probably the CL too though I haven't check this to be fact). However, there's another area where there are similarities. Lets call it 'fair-weather supporters'! We all know that when a club as success, everyone from Asia to South America appears to be wearing the shirt. Then, when you have a few results go against you (or in our case, a few seasons going against us!) those same people decide that unless there's some change they will no longer support the club and start calling for the managers head!! Now, I was only born in 1978, so can't remember much before George Graham, but I can still remember and name at least 25 players from the past who wouldn't even grace the bench these days. Some of those players are pundits who say that we're not strong enough etc, etc. I feel it's the true fans that realise that even without the silverware to show at the moment, it's still a very special period in Arsenals history, with a coach who will be remembered very fondly in years to come. I'm proud of the football we play, the stadium we've built and youth system we have in place now. Yes, we still need to win trophies, but any future success will always be built on the foundations that Arsene has laid at the club. And for that, anyone who considers themselves a Gooner should be thankful to Wenger. Thanks again to the United boys for your comments. We know you're the pride of the North and not Liverpool or City!! Just like we know we're the pride of the South, not Chelski or Spurs!! Another bit of common ground between us!! Cheers lads.

First of all am Arsenal Fan through and through (even though they don't win titles). And I would love to have Arsene Wenger manage till he wishes to leave. There were some close calls in recent seasons, reached finals and lost, Bad luck sometimes (the united game!!!! sigh!!!). Player come and go, so I am not worried about them.

Go Arsenal Go Arsene.

P.S. I am surprised only Man U fans have read this article.

Brilliant article, notwithstanding a few typos. As a Man Utd fan, I'll never admit a desire to see Arsenal win, but Arsene Wenger deserves some measure of success for the way he has stuck to his guns.
