Cesc, Cesc, Cesc everywhere – not a concrete report to believe!

But what is clear is that, almost all publications – be it in Spain or in England are now reporting that Chelsea could be the likely destination for Cesc Fabregas.

Yesterday, The Times reporter Matt Hughes claimed that Chelsea would only sign Fabregas, “if they exhaust other options”, and now they’re looking to find a deal for Atletico midfielder Koke.

Last night Italian journalist, beIN Sports correspondent, and Gazzetta dello Sport contributor Tancredi Palmeri dropped a bombshell on Twitter claiming, Chelsea have officially reached an agreement to sign former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona.

We had earlier reported that Catalan based newspaper Mundo Deportivo revealed that Barcelona have set a €36m price tag on Fabregas as they want to get back the price they offered for the player to arsenal in 2011.

Fabregas’ first preference would ideally have been his dormer club Arsenal but with manager Arsene Wenger not considering the 27 year old as one of his options in the summer, the Spaniard might move to Stamford Bridge in the summer with the Blues more than willing to pay Barcelona’s asking price for the player.

The midfielder has scored 9 goals and grabbed 14 assists in 45 appearances for the Catalan giants, who have prepared wholesale changes at the Camp Nou after new manager Luis Enrique has taken over from Tata Martino, who had a trophy less season in charge.

The Times today again covered a story on Fabregas. They say, Fabregas is “open to the idea” joining Chelsea, despite his strong emotional connection with Arsenal. The Spaniard will assess all possible options, but would be willing to move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Arsenal Wenger is understood to have Fabregas that he would have loved to bring him back, but following the signature of Mesut Ozil, there is no room for another attacking midfielder in the team.
