Spain celebrates Euro 2008 title

  1. My team of best players of Euro 2008 (4-4-2)

    GK: Iker Casillas (Spain)

He was wonderful making important saves (especially in match with Italy). Iker didn’t do any error during the tournament.

    DR: Sergio Ramos (Spain)

Fast, technical right back who was really good in tackling as well as in attacking from flank and during corners and free kicks.

    DC: Per Mertezaker (Germany)

Great heading and cleaning after errors of his partner – Metzelder.

    DC: Carlos Puyol (Spain)

Simply the best defender on Euro 2008. Very careful and reliable. He has eaten Arshavin in semi-final :)

    DL: Yury Jirkov (Russia)

In my mind Jirkov is the best Russian player here. He was dangerous coming into attack and reliable near it’s own box.

    ML: Lucas Podolski (Germany)

After uncertain season in Bavaria Lucas has shown his best skills on Euro 2008. He became the best goalscorer of Germany and the best assistant.

    MC: Senna (Spain)

This Brazilian is not a common one!!! He is tough fighter on a pitch. Senna was fantastic tackling midfielder of Spanish team.

    MC: Xavi (Spain)

Xavi was brilliant playmaker! He is MVP of Spain who did a lot of creative passes and moves.

    FC: David Villa (Spain)

It was a pity that he missed the final. But anyway Villa is the best scorer of Euro 2008.

    FC: Fernando Torres (Spain)

He was very active but not so successful as his partner David Villa. The decisive goal in the final is worth a lot!
