  1. I realise it probably sounds bad to say I have lost a bit of interest without England, it hardly proves my loyalty to the beautiful game, but it’s just patriotism.

I will no doubt though, once the Indian Cricket League has finished, take an interest. It should be a good tournament.

  2. France v Italy should be a good one, have to fancy Croatia as rank outsiders even without the unfortunate Eduardo. Suppose Portugal will be there or thereabouts, too, especially with Ronaldo in such imperious form. Just watching a replay of his goal against Villa today…

  3. This is really going to be a great tournament for 2 main reasons:-

    1. There is no clear favourite, the germans may be the bookies’ favourites but they have competition from france, holland, italy, portugal even croatia and spain have a realistic chance of winning it.

    2. No England! They simply weren’t good enough to qualify under McClaren and even under the legendary Capello were very poor against France in the recent friendly.

WORK ON YOUR PASSING GUYS! OR BETTER YET, WATCH THESE 16 OTHER EUROPEAN NATIONS SHOW YOU HOW TO PLAY THE BEAUTIFUL GAME.

  4. Anthony - you’re not the only one - there’s going to be less media coverage because England are out, but thanks to the Premier League you guys will still see more of Euro 08 in England than you would have 8 or even 4 years ago (if England hadn’t been there then).

Remind me to put up a predictions post for Euro 2008 soon :)
