Eden Hazard says Chelsea have a great chance of winning the Champions League this season after evolving as a side since Jose Mourinho took over, while making key additions to their squad with Diego Costa and Cesc Fagbregas.

The Blues take on Paris Saint Germain in the last 16 match tomorrow night, with the French side seeking to make amends for the defeat to the West Londoners in last season’s competition.

Hazard, who has just signed a new five year deal with Chelsea, was linked with a move to big spenders PSG. But the Belgian trickster says he never thought about leaving Stamford Bridge for Paris.

“Personally, there has never been anything with PSG,” Hazard told TF1, as quoted by ESPN. “I knew from the start I wanted to stay. I don’t want to move, I’m good here.”

Speaking of last season’s match, Hazard claims Chelsea deserved to go through despite snatching the win at the death of the return leg in England.

“Last year wasn’t a miracle,” he said. “If you look at the first leg, we didn’t deserve to lose 3-1. It was a little fortunate, because we scored late on, but we didn’t rob anyone.

“This year, it’ll be a different encounter. We’re on a good run, we have strengthened our squad. Paris are having a few more problems, but they have a lot of great players. They’ll be ready.

“I think it’s 50/50. For the football world, we’re perhaps favourites, but you never know what will happen.”

Speaking of the summer additions, Hazard feels they have taken Chelsea onto a new level – a fact reflected in their dominance of the Premier League.

“We have other quality players. Fabregas came in and he did us a lot of good. Diego arrived, and he has scored a lot of goals for us,” he continued.

“Last year, I was not alone, that would be a lack of respect to the others, but I was counted on more. Now, I’m not alone on the pitch. But when I play, Chelsea generally play well too.

“In France, other than in my last season, people always criticised me for not being decisive enough. Little-by-little, I’m starting to take that on.”
