Man City striker Sergio Aguero has reportedly told Man City that he is ready to join Barcelona; with Spanish reports indicating that the Catalan outfit already have an agreement with the player.
Spanish newspaper, Sport, has made the bold claim that Aguero has told City boss Manuel Pellegrini of his ‘eagerness’ to leave England; with Tata Martino believing the prolific Argentine should be the Catalan club’s next big signing.
Only this week, we brought you the headline that Aguero was strongly linked with Real Madrid; but now it seems as if their fierce rivals have stole a march on the 25-year-old.
There are certain sticking points however, as Sport suggests; with the sour relationship between Barcelona and City chief executive Ferran Soriano a particular issue.
The former Barca general manager is not a popular man around the Camp Nou, after leaving to join City in 2012; and the revelation of various ‘spying’ scandals under the reign of former president, Joan Laporta.
However, not wanting to let the hit-man slip through their fingers, as defender Thiago Silva did last year; Barca are said to be trying to move the deal forward quickly, and have reportedly been in talks with Aguero’s representatives for ‘several months’.
