Dynamo Moscow striker Aleksandr Kokorin will consider approach from Arsenal due to their lack of trophies, according to his agent.

The 24-year-old is attracting interest from the Premier League clubs and his representative earlier admitted the Russian international could join either of Gunners’ rivals, Tottenham Hotspur or Manchester United.

“There is every reason to believe he will end up at either Manchester United or Tottenham,” the Metro quoted Christophe Yutto as saying.

Arsenal ended their nine-year long trophy drought by winning the FA Cup in 2013/14 season. The north London club managed in defending the cup as they won it last term as well, which saw them become the most successful team in the history of the competition.

Cyril Loginov, Kokorin’s agent admitted that a move to Arsenal in the future could still be on cards, despite their lack of silverware in trophy cabinet in the last decade.

“I don’t know. I don’t remember many outstanding achievements, except they recently won the FA Cup. So I don’t know, I don’t know,” Loginov told Russian publication News Today.

“Aleksandr, if all well informed, still has a chance [to move in the future] and not just to Arsenal.”

“If Dinamo refused to give Aleksandr to Arsenal in the past transfer window, it does not mean that he can’t be where he wants [in the next window]. We have a very good relationship with the coaching staff and the management of the football club Dynamo Moscow. We have, of course, been notified.”

Wenger has the services of Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck as they players who can play up front. However, the latter two can also feature on the wide position, leaving with the French international as the only out-and-out striker at the Emirates.
