Feyenoord wonderkid Tatith Chong has confirmed that he will join Manchester United via his twitter account on Wednesday.

The 16-year-old, who can play upfront as well as in midfield, is said to be one of the best young prospects in world football.

Chong posted a picture on twitter wearing the Man United shirt with the caption, “Future player of Manchester United.”

The Dutch wonderkid attracted interest of several Premier League clubs but said that he decided to join the Red Devils to gain playing time.

“Here and at Arsenal, young players get their chance earlier than at Chelsea or at Manchester City,” he said. “United gave me a better feeling. You can feel it immediately when you walk in a club.”

Chong joined Feyenoord as a 10-year-old and has since impressed scouts of a number of European clubs with his performances.

The Head of coaching at United’s youth academy Nicky Butt said back in March that the club hope to attract the finest young players in Europe and Chong is set to be the first of a number of foreign signings to join the club’s academy this summer.

“We’re short on a few numbers in the different age groups and it’s something we need to address, something we are addressing and something we will hopefully get over the line in the next few weeks, in time for next season, ” Butt said.

Chong will become Jose Mourinho’s second signing at Man United after the club announced the capture of Villarreal defender Eric Bailly for a reported fee of £30 million.
