They were certainly the best in Europe last season David, but they have to show it again this year. I certainly wouldn't be writing them off but do they have a slight strength-in-depth issue....like many teams do who have so many star players?

Barring long-term injury to 2 or 3 key players I expect them to be in the mix in every competition again come May.

For the record, Keita and Yaya are not in direct competition. Keita plays left midfield, Yaya is DM. When is the last time Keita has played DM? Busquets is Yaya's competition at DM.

Despite countless capitalization errors, I would like to point out that no one is writing them off. In fact, most articles about Barcelona that I have read since the loss against Rubin Kazan have completely disimissed the result as just an unlucky fluke. So who exactly are the skeptics against whom you have rallied to Barcelona's defense? I'm always amazed by how Barcelona fans are constantly trying to self-justify. Yet another manifestation of the all too familiar Catalan inferiority complex. The general notion that anyone at all was writing off Barcelona around last Christmas is laughable. If I remember correctly, that was about when Barcelona was enjoying a lead of twelve points over Real Madrid in the Spanish table? Luck is always at work in Barcelona's defeats, isn't it?
