Liverpool are closing in on FC Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka, with the Mirror claiming that the clubs have agreed an €18m fee for the player.

The 24-year-old Ukrainian has emerged as Brendan Rodgers new number one target this January, after Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah opted for a move to Chelsea last week.

Now it seems Liverpool have moved swiftly so as to secure the services of Konoplyanka, with the Mirror’s David Anderson tweeting that a fee has already been agreed.

Able to play on either flank, Konoplyanka has eight goals and six assists from 19 Ukrainian league games this season, and impressed in recent World Cup Qualifiers, including games against Roy Hodgson’s England.

David Anderson added soon after his original tweet that a deal for Konoplyanka hinges on the outcome of talks between the two clubs tomorrow, and the BBC’s Phil Mcnulty has said that Liverpool have not yet finalised the deal,

  1. Im a big liverpool fan all we keep seing is liverpool are going for this player and that player lets just sign a winger and a striker and we will deffo be in the top 4 where we belong #YNWA

  2. No not excited at all, same old garbage can’t get first choice because to slow then we have to put up with second rate rubbish

  3. F@#k sake, wake up BR are priority should be a solid pacey good passing technical on the ball DM who can also add goals. Or am I asking for too much ha ha.

  4. That guy certainly not second rate he is quality international player with many international caps question is thought will Liverpool actually stump up serious money or think they can get quality players for peanuts that doesn’t happen anymore it depends on how serious Liverpool are about top 4 let’s not get carried away we hammered Everton. But threw 2 points against villa we have thread bare squad and need first team impact players now the squad players we have cannot fill the gap if we have injuries and I think a quality. New signing will lift morale in the camp and push us towards champions league position

  5. i dnt knw dis player but rodgers shld beware of signing de likes of aspas, boroni etc cos we need to be in cl nxt season.

  6. Just because he’s not the first player we went for, doesn’t mean he’s garbage but until he’s in the door the champagne will stay unpopped!!
