Karl - We must truly have the most ‘training' injuries of all teams of all time. Unbelievable. WTF do they actually do during training that the players keep on getting injured before a game?

You've obviously never heard of Newcastle. Or Keiron Dyer.

I think the problem with Rooney is one that Fergie identified years ago - he doesn't do 'calm'. You can imagine it now... trying to do everything on the pitch, goes to show off, trips on the net, and, desperately trying to keep the ball going, twists his ankle somewhat.

Anyway, for me, its not a loss for England. I think Owen is the better performer of the two for England, and we saw against Russia that they don't work together anyway. Give me Crouchy or Heskey any day.

Yeah, It looks as though such a great talent (Shudder as I say that, I am a Gooner!)will be cut shirt because of his injuries.

The age he is at now is an age where most players should be injury-free most of the time, But Rooney is different and since he has already picked up FOUR foot injuries so far in his promising career, it does seem as though more injuries will stop his career as he pro-longs it.

Either, He will quit the game at 28, 29 or become the new Micky Owen and have a great young-promising career go down the drain and from an Anfield Kop fave and a Galactico to rarely even pulling on a Magpies kit...

It is a shame but his career will no doubt be as great as once expected

Think positive. Since he shows a tendency to be injured at the critical moments, then it is better for him to be injured now than later.

Unlucky Rooney!

Every time he takes more time to regain his top form.

I believe his career will end quickly or at least he will be a new Owen
