Divock Origi played the entire 90 minutes as Belgium drew 1-1 away at Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday night in the Euro 2016 qualifiers.

The 19-year-old, who is spending this season on loan to Lille after agreeing a deal to join Liverpool in the summer, produced a brilliant performance against Andorra, where he scored a brilliant goal from distance and created another during Belgium’s emphatic 6-0 victory last Friday.

Manchester City and Belgium skipper Vincent Kompany was full of praise for the youngster. He says that Origi is a hard worker and should he continue his development then in a few years’ time, he could be one of the best strikers in the world.

”He is very gifted and talented. Technically, he’s a monster,” said Kompany.

“More importantly, he is an outstanding worker in training. I see him working like crazy.“If he continues in this way, in a few years he will be among the five or ten best strikers in the world.”

Origi has started the season brilliantly for Lille as well, scoring four goals for his club so far. The striker admits that he keeps a regular contact with the Reds manager Brendan Rodgers, who is a fan fan of the youngster.

“He is a top player. He has everything – the speed, the profile and he can play now but our deal was that we couldn’t bring him in now,” said Rodgers.

“That was unfortunate because he can run in behind, he can keep the ball, he can press and he can run.”

Origi undoubtedly possesses the talent to shine for Liverpool and Rodgers expects him to reach the ‘world class’ level in few years’ time.
