Medical expertise: Stomach bug (gastroenteritis) is a disease usually occurs due to food poising, viral infection, and bacterial infection that causes fluid and electrolyte imbalance in the body. In such type of cases, it immediately requires fluid replacement, and treatment for specific reasons. It may result in tremendous physical weakness, lethargy, and muscle cramps.

In addition, Diego Costa was suffering from a groin injury, where muscle pain and inability to move the hip joint properly, mainly rotational movement is disturbed. So, keeping everything in mind, Costa may not available within 10-12 days. That means, he will not only miss this weekend’s away trip to Manchester united, but may also miss League cup and Premier League actions. Plus, he needs to be match fit as well, so might miss the action against Liverpool next month.

Chelsea will be hoping that Loic Remy, who suffered a groin problem during the match against Maribor on Tuesday, to be with the squad on Sunday. The French striker is hopeful that his injury is not too serious.

Usually, in case of groin injuries, the recovery is expected within a week, but we can only get the extent of the injury once the scan report comes out.
