Did Mourinho call in this Chelsea transfer news special?

Jose Mourinho - on the phone

Some of the stuff mentioned below were not published in Official Chelsea website nor did Jose Mourinho or Peter Kenyon call me on my handphone to inform me. These are stuff doing rounds in the internet in some reputed news websites. Now I think I can start.

We are just entering the last lap of the transfer race, as we would like to have most of them fixed before we set off for US in about 10 days. Alex would join us for the tour, subject to the completion of paper work, which is great news. We’d never get short on defence this season, it seems - Terry, Ricardo, Paulo, Cole, Alex, Tal, Bridge and probably Drenthe, with Essien and Diarra as remote back ups, that is if all the defenders are stretchered off on the same day, which I can’t rule out.

Telegraph sees us as the front runners to get Pato’s signature. With his two goals against South Korea this week in the U20 world cup, he is only increasing the anxiety and restlessness in me. Having come so close, I don’t want this deal to slip off. I don’t care who he plays for in his playstation as long as he plays for us on the pitch.

That said, I’m concerned how this would impact the development of Sinclair and Sahar. May be when Drogba and Sheva leave, will we have Kalou, Sahar, Sinclair & Pato?! They are exciting prospects and I want to see more of Sinclair and Sahar in the domestic cup matches this season. I’m sure that would be the plan too as we will concentrate more on league and champions league this time.

The latest on Malouda is that we are still trying to land him while he has returned to training with Lyon. There could be a meeting between Chelsea and Lyon officials this week and Kenyon is keen to have Malouda in the team for our US tour. He also said that there are no offers for any of the Chelsea players, which is a pleasant surprise. What about those things Roman Calderon has been talking? Well, the Real Madrid officials run a rumor mill of their own and are an absolute delight for Spanish Press. I just hope that their talk on Robben is also one of “we tried our best to land XYZ” to be used for their elections.

Chelsea have insisted that any offers for Lampard or Terry would be rejected. And as of now we are hopeful of getting their signatures before the start of the new season. All said and done, both of them have another couple of years in their contract; there is no hurry to have the contract signed in the next few days and they can sign later on too.

Tevez’s transfer continues to be a superb case study in football transfers and it’s sure to keep the attorneys busy for some more months. Now, the rumoured move of Tevez to Man Utd seems to be at risk, with FA more getting ready to complicate the issue even further. To me, Tevez to Man Utd sounds more like Henry to Barca, considering how and where he would fit in (considering that Saha would be able to walk on his own).

After roping in about a dozen of promising youngsters, Chelsea inaugurated a new 20m pound training facility yesterday. This impressive modern training facility in Cobham is built on 140 acres and has 30 football pitches of which 6 pitches to highest Premiership standard replicating Stamford Bridge. This is just another indication of Roman’s long term vision with Chelsea. We needed to spend money in the market to launch ourselves in the European stage but now the club concentrates on the future by investing in youth and academy.

Hopefully, there’ll be some concrete news in a few days. Catch you later with more stuff later on.

  1. Forget this Sinclair and Sahar stuff. They are kids. They each have a 1 in 10 chance of making the Chelsea first 11. Pato might have a bit mor chance - but would cost a hell of a lot more.

Kalou cost 8m, was a highly rated teenager, came at 20 adn was a complete disaster - the least talented player I have seen at Chelsea for decades.
That is kids for you. Long shots.

Sorry but I have to disagree. If we fail to land the already tallented young players then we take a bigger risk of inputting money into young players that might never make the grade. As far as Kalou then I think he still has time to do us proud especially playing along side Schevy and Drogba as roll models. If he starts putting in twenty goals a year plus then 8 million seems a very little amount of money. One last question to you Bob, have you ever actually seen Chelsea play as it sounds to me like you are talking out of your a**.

  3. its done!!! tevez is coming on loan for two years

  4. July 6, 2007Little Blue

I cant see how you are going to fit Tevez and Rooney in the same team. They play to much like each other and will spoil each others game like Lampard and Gerrard do for England. It also dont make any odds who Manc Utd buy as the Premo cup will be back at Stamford Bridge next year.

  5. The training facility is awesome. We are definitely going to see more of a shift to growing young talent there as Chelsea balances the books to break even each year in the future.

  6. okay little blue, and the premiership is coming back to stamford bridge why? in all seriousness who have u’s bought that’s gonna make an unbelievable change next season? and please don’t say cause we’re chelsea and the best or man united are shit… liverpool and united will be the big teams next season in my opinion.

  7. Ricky. You like the rest of the country are forgetting we already have team of champions (CFC). The reason we failed in the prem, although i use the word failed very lightly, last season was because of long injuries to key players. The fact that united only finished 6 points ahead of us with our losses and the way they were playing is an absolute joke. This summer we didnt need to buy kaka, tevez or ronaldinho. We have a championship winning side. All we needed was good quality cover at the right price. We have done this to perfection. Yeah, next year United will be scoring goals, but You can only win 3 points at time dont forget. Even if you do knock 6 in past Derby, well done.
Last season United showed a distinct lack of cutting edge coming up again top sides. 2 draws with us, done by arse, liverpool shud have beaten you. you got the rub of the green mate, whereas we didnt. Next season we will be hot. Liverpool also. Itl be close between you n them for 2nd.

  8. Whos trying to buy the league now? Cant wait to see Fergies red little head come next may!!!!

    Jose the King

  9. I am Man Utd fun.
    1. Kalou is a really good player considering his age and chances, however I don’t know about other two youngsters
    2. One player like Torres is not gonna make a team like Liverpool to challenge for EPL…as far as I am concerned Liverpool has so many problems (rotation system, no wingers what so ever, less than impressive diffence) that it will take them several years and some other big signings to challenge for EPL.
    3. If tevez buy is true (and I truely hope it is) it is going to be something interesting.
In the end of the day us and Chelski are the only real contenders, with small posibility of intervention by Arsenal.
Note 1. ttts I did say us because Man Utd gets it’s profits from “US” supporters…we buy the merchendize and we watch the game so in that sense we all part of existence of Man Utd.
Note2. I know that liverpool allowed not so many goals last season, however they were playing with at least 2-3 diffencive midfielders all the time (Alonso, Sissoko and Macherano) with Gerrard coming to defend too, so if they think they have a good diffence, why put so many DM-s and sacrifice the creativity of the team.

  10. July 7, 2007Blue is the colour

kalou was not a flop he saved us on loads of occasions like against tottenham in the fa cup and against watford (scoring the only goal in the last minute) he has been half decent

EPL? Its the Premiership. End of

Whats all this bout Kalou let me tell ya all he his one talented youngster and made an excellent impression on chelsea last year this boy can go past players, set the ball up and also score so just cause we didnt win the title and i for one still am hurting thats its left us stop getting on the backs of Kalou, Ballack and sheva cause the didnt cause the fallout of losin the title injuries did n not inside fightin.

  13. You can buy the world for all i care, but bottom line is Chelsea needs less players, not more players…

  14. Sahar to b honest looks nothing special. Sinclair does seem to have a bright future ahead of him. as for tevez and rooney. SAF did say he would bring in someone who would improve the team. trust his word

  15. All those Man Utd fans are f#*^in football pundits.

“Whom have you bought this season? I don’t think Sahar is special but Sinclair might have a bright future.” What crap?
You guys are football fans, not pundits. So don’t fuckin act like one.

Fans hope signing of a player would be good for a team and quote some matter already in print about the players to substantiate their hopes. Let’s end at that. I am not a fan of Man U and wont go about commenting as to how Tavez would not fit in their team. If SAF thinks he would fit in, he must have thought that out as he is a great manager N guru. So he must be right. That he messed up on Veron and Jose on Sheva doesn’t mean they make wrong decisions consistently. 8. Most of the decisions are right. That’s why you and me don’t get their jobs.

As to winning the league, we guys already have all the stars suiting our style of play and Man U has made all the signings to strengthen their style of play (6-1 demolision of Roma). May the best team win.

As a fan I like Pato from what i see on youtube and hope he succeeds. “If he will indeed be a success? — I dont have the first damn clue”. One has to take chances, just coz earlier one turned sour doesnt mean we stop trying.

This one is just for you Ricky! The only reason Manc Utd won the premo last year is due to the ammount of injuries Chelsea had during the season. Even with this in mind you only pipped us by six points. You are also going to find fitting all your new signing in and getting them to play as a complete unit as in team will take to long. Look what happened when Scoles, Keane and Beckham left, you had to be content with winning the Carling cup a few times. Ha Ha Ha I laugh at you because you are full of s**t. I also bet you are one of these 20 stone twelve sandwich eating fat bast**d arm chair sapporters that hasnt got the money to go out and sapport thier team due to a lack of benefits. And now due to a life of remote control football and lack of exercise you assume you know what you are talking about, your full of s**t mate, sorry.

  17. scholes left united!! damn! he never told me :)
grow up kiddo and the the whole whining blue lot ..

  18. July 11, 2007Little Blue

Vazoo - Why dont we meet and then I can show you how grown up I am. You can bring a few of your Manc mates to give you a hand if you want because your need all the help you can get. Oh by the way, nice English name, Not!
