Deschamps wants Chelsea job

Didier Deschamps, former AS Monaco and Juventus manager, has declared his interest in taking over at Chelsea. The former French captain’s managerial career is best known for taking AS Monaco to the Champions League final where he lost to Jose Mourinho’s Porto. That game turned out to be Mourinho’s last game before he joined Chelsea.

Now Deschamps wants to take Chelsea where Mourinho could not as he has admitted that it would be hard to turn down an offer from Abramovich’s team, according to Setanta Sports:

“It would be hard to refuse Chelsea, unless I stop being a coach.” Said Deschamps.

Meanwhile Guss Hiddink, who by many was considered favorite to replace Grant at Chelsea, has ruled out any possibility of joining the London club in the near future, that according to BBC. The Dutch coach wants to take Russia to the 2010 World Cup and his agent has publicly declared that his client would reject any advances made by Chelsea, that too from the BBC.
