Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has quickly played down any reports that he was involved in a sex party in which a woman was made to take part against her will.

Earlier on Friday, Spanish newspaper Diario had reported that the Manchester United star David de Gea was allegedly implicated in a police probe involving a porn director accused of running a child prostitution ring.

De Gea has been implicated in an ongoing case against pornography entrepreneur Ignacio Allende Fernández, better known in the industry as ‘Torbe’.

Diario reported that a protected witness had made claims against Manchester United’s Player of the Season for the past three years that he and Torbe arranged a sex date between herself, another female and two footballers; with one being Athletic Bilbao star Iker Muniain.

David de Gea has spoken to the media for the first time since the reports, telling reporters “It’s all false” during Spain’s press conference this evening.  He said:

“I am the first one to be surprised by this report. I deny it, it is false and nothing more, it is a lie and false.

“It is false what is coming out in the press and it will be in the hands of my lawyers.”

The Spanish FA and head coach Vicente del Bosque have stayed behind the 25-year-old by keeping him in the national team squad for Euro 2016 with their first game on Monday with de Gea expected to be named in the starting XI.

Muniain’s agent was able to confirm that his client had not been contacted by police, telling Diario: “We have no knowledge of this. No-one from the police or the court have been in touch with us.”
