Manchester United bounced back from a defeat against PSV in their opening game with an impressive win against Wolfsburg earlier this month and the Premier League giants will be hoping to take charge of the group with a win against CSKA.

Louis Van Gaal’s side roared to a comfortable 3-0 win against Everton on Saturday and the Dutchman will be hoping to carry that momentum into the game against the Russians on Wednesday.

Group B has been evenly contested so far with all four sides losing one and winning their other game. Manchester United will be hoping steal a march on their rivals with a crucial away win.

The Old Trafford outfit have started the season well and are second in the Premier League. Despite the defeat against PSV, Manchester United were impressive and were perhaps distracted due to the horrific injury to Luke Shaw in the first half.

The likes of Juan Mata, Anthony Martial are in red hot form and the duo will look to guide their side to a positive result tomorrow.

Elsewhere, Captain Wayne Rooney is also back amongst the goals and it will be a major boost for Van Gaal and the side. The former Everton striker ended his goal drought against Everton last week.

Meanwhile, CSKA will hope to continue their impressive form in the Champions League against Manchester United. The Russians bounced back in style against PSV after a disappointing defeat against Wolfsburg.

The Russians are in good form domestically and are unbeaten in their last 13 outings. Manager Leonid Slutsky will be hoping to pull off an upset against the Red Devils tomorrow.

With the likes of Ahmed Musa and Seydou Doumbia is good goal-scoring form, the Russians have enough firepower to breach Manchester United’s solid back four, but they have struggled to contain goals.

CSKA have conceded 13 goals in their last 8 games and have kept just one clean sheet in the process.

CSKA Moscow vs Manchester United Team News

Leonid Slutsky is expected to stick to the same team that beat PSV in their last Champions league game.

CSKA will be without the likes of Vasili Berezutski and Bibras natkho due to a thigh injury and a concussion respectively.

Meanwhile, Louis Van Gaal will be delighted with the return of Antonio Valencia. German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is a doubt for the game and the likes of Young, McNair and Shaw are definitely ruled out.
