Disagree about Tomasson, think he can keep going for a while.

Gronkjaer has not been top-class for years, and Rommedahl... well, he failed at Charlton. So those two need to be replaced as soon as possible.

It was a good performance by Spain, no doubt about that. I was a little disappointed by some of the defending, particularly from set pieces, but the midfield were excellent and Casillas again earned his bread.

I wouldn't call it a robbery. Spain had the better of the attacks, until they went ahead by two, at which point, like many teams, they began to pull their foot off the gas. When Denmark scored, they finally reapplied it. Yes, Denmark had some good chances, especially in the second half, but given their need to win and Spain's early goal the game was always going to have that look. Cesc's handball was obviously involuntary, I don't think you can call for a penalty for that. Spain still look porous when the opposing team goes forward in numbers.

Denmark doesn't have a bad side at all, I'm sure worse teams than them will make it to the final tournament. Their main attacking threats - Rommedahl, Gronkjaer, and Tomasson - however, are all going to have to be replaced in the not too distant future.

3-1 is daylight robbery. Denmark should have had a penalty (Cesc handball), Bendtner's curling shot deserved a goal and those two Casillas stops, particularly the first, were unbelievable. Still, well done to Spain for an accomplished first half performance, to Espanyol for the service rendered by the team's players (what a goal by Riera), and to the Spain midfield. The second goal was a wonderful team move, and a great finish from Sergio Ramos.

My new philosophy of predicting a bad result for the team I want to win seems to be working: so far have predicted draws for Barcelona and Spain, Barca winning the first and Spain are now 2-0 up.
