Could Sheffield United please shut up?
Please, spare us.
We don’t want to hear you moan.
We don’t care if you ‘think’ that Sheffield United were cheated (they weren’t, they couldn’t win the games they should have).
We don’t even care if you think West Ham cheated (not as much as Sheffield United did in the Kabba contract, and btw that’s legal under PL rules, so what are you on about?).
What we really want is for the football to get back. In the meantime, as we suffer through close season and the lack of football (big money transfers lose their charm very fast), the only thing we have to save us is the trickle of footy news that comes through, or the banter in footy forums.
So please, Sheffield United, please do not bore us with your media campaign and your bullshit. You lost, on the pitch and in the courts, and to be honest,
And before you think I’m a numpty who doesn’t know what he’s talking about, read this, this and this. I’ve done my homework, I know what the initial ruling said and I know what the PL rules are.
West Ham were punished for lying to the Premier League. The U18 rule break is a frackin’ joke; Sheffield and Man United have done worse, and it’s acceptable (I’m a Man Utd fan btw, so keep that in mind before you bitch) for the PL, why have double standards?
Could Sheffield United please shut the fuck up?
Thank you.
If you wish, you can drop by the SL forum thread discussing this topic and whine there.

Why dont you fuck right off cos we couldnt care less what you think!
July 5th, 2007 @ 15:12I completely agree. I’m so sick of the Sheffield United bitching.
July 5th, 2007 @ 15:16Just fucking accept it and look forward to the Championship
So don’t listen. You’re a grown-up aren’t you? I have to ask because I have no direct evidence.
July 5th, 2007 @ 15:28Norton – are you suggesting that sticking my fingers in my ears and screaming “la la la la la la la la” is going to make the problem go away?
Or are you suggesting that all the people who now parrot SU’s whining about the ‘illegality’ of Tevez playing for West Ham are children?
The media lapped it up, and fed it to the rest of the world. Good work, but who’s going to clean up the mess?
July 5th, 2007 @ 15:56Thankyou, sheffield need to stop whining. If they had won on the last day of the season, they would be up, they didn’t, they got relegated, simple.
July 5th, 2007 @ 15:57The people who should be cleaning up the mess, who should have avoided it in the first place, seem incapable of doing so, that’s the problem as I see it.
Why should Sheffield United shut up just because it makes you feel uncomfortable?
I’m suggesting that, if you’re bored of the subject then don’t take any notice of it. It’s not your fight so why get involved if your not interested?
Sheffield United believe they are the victims of an injustice that has not been properly addressed. If you disagree with their point of view then give reasoned arguments as to why. I don’t count asking somebody to shut up, either politely or otherwise, as a reasoned argument, whoever the request comes from. It’s the last, childish refuge of someone who doesn’t really have an argument as far as I’m concerned.
July 5th, 2007 @ 16:15Norton – go through the links I’ve pasted in the article – they give very reasoned arguments for why Sheffield United, IMO, are mistaken.
The fact that i want them to shut up comes AFTER the reasoned arguments – I really am tired of them pushing a false agenda through the media.
You’re right, maybe I shouldn’t listen – and to be honest I’ve avoided mostly except for discussing it in those articles that I mentioned above.
The mess was the fact that west ham lied – or more appropriately, their former owners lied. West Ham paid for it, end of story. There is no violation of rule U18, anymore than SU or MU violated that rule.
Read all of my arguments first (you really should read the whole article before criticising it, you know).
July 5th, 2007 @ 16:21The article I’m criticising is this one not your previous articles, which I have also commented on. Your previous articles were well written, contained reasoned arguments for your point of view and, although I may not have agreed with them, I respected them as just that. At no point did I respond but just telling you to shut up.
One factual point, the original commission found that there had been a breach of both rule U18 and B13 on West Ham’s part, hence the fine. The arbitration panel upheld the process that they used to arrive at that decision. I can’t agree with your assertion that there was no violation of U18.
So SHUT UP (just kidding
.
July 5th, 2007 @ 16:40
welcome to SL. With the Tevez story going on I’m going to give this a rest but will catch up with on this later, or in the forums if you’re there.
July 5th, 2007 @ 16:43I can’t agree with a potential suicide bomber…..
July 5th, 2007 @ 17:12thank god someone has finally wrote an article on this, fair enough i no sheff utd feel robbed, but god you’s were miles ahead off the relegation teams at one stage and didn’t look lik going down, if you’s actually done well and won your games they’d still be up,
July 5th, 2007 @ 19:19Don’t all you people who say Sheffield United were crap and deserve to get relegated get it??????
That’s got b****r all to do with it. I don’t care if Sheffield United are in the Conference next season!!!
The only issue for fans of other teams like myself is that a precedent has now been set where you can cheat and escape with a fine of £5m when not cheating would have cost you £60m plus. If changing owners was an excuse then no doubt an already deceitful owner could arrange a quick sale to some anonymous associate on paper.
END OF STORY!
July 5th, 2007 @ 21:48Arsenal and Chelsea are the ones who are cheating-they’re posing as football clubs.
July 5th, 2007 @ 22:52I’d be totally p*ssed off if I supported Sheff United…it was all wrong West Ham were wrong the premier league were wrong they totally bottled it…
If Sheff united fans want to moan let them…i’m sure if it was the other way round west ham fans would be crying bubbles…
I support neither team and have no preference but feel Sheff United have always had a case regardless of how the results panned …
July 6th, 2007 @ 00:45It is human nature to moan and whine about something when they experience a loss, blaming everthing else and being short-sighted on their own inadequacies. Though usually it yields no result, it just makes them feel better.
I say let them cry all they want, till they come into reality and realise that no one else is paying them any attention.
July 6th, 2007 @ 06:06Yeah, Sheffield United could have won against Wigan on the final day of the season and avoided relegation, and that would have been the end of it, right? Wrong. Wigan would have been relegated instead, and Wet Sham would have still been cheating c***s.
July 6th, 2007 @ 06:23wet shams best player & contracted for the next 3 years to them is going to manure for 2 years “on loan”.thats got to be the most kind hearted gesture football has ever seen….i take back all i said about them being lying cheats they are obviously a decent honest generous club!!!!! ha ha ha ha ha
July 6th, 2007 @ 18:36That last comment has pretty much summed the Tevez affair up. If West Ham haven’t done anything wrong then why the bloody hell are they letting their best player by quite some distance go on loan to the Premiership champions? Their “generosity” shows no bounds!
July 7th, 2007 @ 20:48Is it me or will the conspiriy theorists start now that Tevez has singed for United?
July 9th, 2007 @ 17:53West Ham win on last day of the season, Tevez scores the winner.
Now a day after Sheffield lose their case Manchester gets the player.
What a funny old game!!
For god sake will the sheffield united group just shut up and accept that league status is not solved through the courts but over 38 games and they were not good enough. This is typical reason why certain SMALL clubs should not be allowed to come to the premier league. The case has been resolved now this just smacks of sour grapes, the Board have slated West Ham, The premier league and now i hear the chairman that Kevin bloke has also slagged of Neil Warnock, they are a small team who are getting on everyones nerves, and they are being taken for a ride by the lawyers who are going to get rich from their moanings.
August 16th, 2007 @ 19:09They were good enough to finish 4th bottom had West Ham been properly punished for cheating. 4th bottom is what newly promoted teams aim for in their first season just like West Ham did the year before so I would say they were good enough. Only West Ham supporters think otherwise. Just because you’ve got rid of Tevez doesn’t mean people will forget you cheated in the first place.
August 16th, 2007 @ 23:20Why dont you dumb northern moaners just accept that you don’t belong in the premiership coz your crap and did’nt win the games needed to stay up. Everyone is sick of your moaning and bitching like little girls, go back to ya mines, slag heaps and steel polishing sweat shops and let people get on with the season and the game they love without having idiots like you spoiling it.
August 17th, 2007 @ 01:23WE ARE BLADESMEN WE ARE BLADESMEN SUPER BLADESMEN FROM THE LANE! WE ARE BLADESMEN SUPER BLADESMEN WE ARE BLADES MEN FROM THE LANE!
