Chelsea welcome Paris Saint-Germain to Stamford Bridge this week and the Blues will be looking to overturn their deficit from the first leg of the Champions League knockouts.

The French champions won 2-1 in Paris and will be hoping to progress onto the next round of the competition with another impressive result at Stamford Bridge. A draw will be enough to dump the Premier League champions out of the competition.

Paris Saint-Germain have been in a similar situation before and last time the French outfit managed to go through on away goals after a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge back in 2015.

Chelsea will be desperate to avoid another repeat of that result. The Blues will be wary of PSG’s attack, who are well capable of scoring the vital away goal.

Chelsea have improved a lot under Guus Hiddink and this week’s tie against PSG will be a real test of their character, quality and desire.

Chelsea vs PSG Team News

PSG midfielder Blaise Matuidi is expected to return for the Chelsea clash despite being forced off with a thigh injury in the French Cup semi-finals.

Full back Grégory Van der Wiel is also back after recovering from his illness.

There are no other notable injuries for Laurent Blanc and PSG are expected to field their strongest starting eleven at Stamford Bridge.

As for Chelsea, Brazilian winger Kenedy could return here after recovering from his groin problem.

Eden Hazard is also fit and ready to start against the French outfit. The likes of Zouma and Falcao are definitely ruled out of the game. Pedro is expected to return this weekend.

Bit Chelsea will be delighted with the return of their captain and club legend John Terry.

Terry has missed Chelsea’s last five matches and is expected to start here.
