Reports from Holland claim that Marco Van Ginkel’s agent has publicly spoken on his client’s desire to leave Chelsea for more game time on the pitch. The 21 year old’s career at Chelsea has not gone according to plans and the player now wants to leave the Stamford Bridge outfit rather than warming the sidelines.

Ginkel had a injury ravaged 2013-14 season and missed the World Cup in Brazil after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament way back in September. Ginkel however has featured predominately in Chelsea’s pre season games and was heavily tipped to make an impact this season. However the midfielder was not even named in the substitutes bench in Chelsea’s season opening 3-1 win over Burnley at Turf Moor.

The player’s agent Karel Jansen however spoke on behalf of the Dutch international claiming, “Monday night was not pleasant to see, of course. We are waiting for a response from Chelsea on how they see it”

The intense competition at Chelsea might also mean that the player will now have to look elsewhere in search of regular first team action, “We are in talks but Marco wants to fight for his chances.

Jansen however went on to say that a return to the Eredivisie is on the cards for the Vitesse Arnhem player as he believes that the Dutch League is too low a level for Ginkel.
