Chelsea are looking to sign the Everton striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.

Antonio Conte seems desperate to add the Belgian to his attack and has returned with a mega bid of 72 million Euros after their initial approach was rebuffed.

The Italian media (via Sportwitness) think that the final price for Lukaku will be 72 million euros plus add ons. The Londoners are hoping that will be enough to force Everton into selling their best player.

Lukaku has been one of the best strikers in the division since his departure from Stamford Bridge and the Belgian is thought to be keen on a return now.

The Everton striker has a lot to prove at Stamford Bridge after a failed spell a few years ago and is willing to try his luck once again.

Lukaku has scored 61 goals for Everton in his last three seasons and is looking for a step up this summer. Despite not being in the Champions League, Chelsea would be a huge step up from Everton. Also the chance to work with Conte is an added bonus for most players.

With the likes of Costa and Batshuayi already at the club, Lukaku’s arrival could be season defining for the Blues. Conte wants to win the title and the likes of Lukaku and Kante will certainly have a huge impact.

The Belgian has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United as well. Earlier this summer, Telegraph reported that Lukaku’s father wants him to leave Everton and he wants his son to play at Old Trafford.
