Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that he will join a Premier League club next season and the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are already battling it out for his signature.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is a keen admirer of the former Barcelona manager and is desperate to secure his services regardless of the price.
Although media reports have claimed that Guardiola could end up at Manchester City, Abramovich is determined to convince Pep and will not give up without a fight.
According to London Evening Standard, Abramovich has informed Guardiola that he will be provided with a better contract than the one at Manchester City and a massive transfer budget to restructure the Chelsea squad.
Guardiola has already explained that he has received some offers from the Premier League. However, he also stated that he has not decided which club he wants to join.
It will be interesting to see if Chelsea’s incredible promises can convince the Bayern boss. What is certain is that neither City nor Chelsea are lacking in resources and a bidding war cannot be ruled out.
Furthermore, Manchester United are likely to flex their financial muscle for Guardiola as well. The Old Trafford outfit are likely to get rid of Van Gaal in the summer and it has been reported earlier that they are interested in the former Barcelona manager.
