According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have agreed a £22m deal to sign Abdul Rahman Baba from Augsburg.

Despite Augsburg insistence that there will not be any compromise, it seems that the German outfit have been convinced to reach a middle ground. It is believed that Mourinho has used the Chelsea misfit, Marko Marin to sweeten the deal.

Marin Transfer: Time to kick-start his career?

Marin has been away on loan at several clubs like Sevilla and Anderlecht since joining Chelsea and it seems he is set to return to Germany this summer with Augsburg.

Both clubs have agreed on a loan deal during the discussion of Baba transfer.

Marin, once regarded as the brightest young wingers in the world, is now a bit part player and will be looking to resurrect his stagnating career once he returns to Bundesliga.

Although it is just a loan deal and the German might have to come back next summer, a year in his comfort zone could do him a world of good. Marin made his name in the Bundesliga and will cherish the opportunity to return.

The Blues struggled with Ivanovic as their full back against Swansea and it seems Azpilicueta could now return to his natural position as right back and the new signing Baba could start as a left back.

Baba is one of the most talented full backs for his age and will continue to develop under the tutelage of Mourinho, as the Portuguese looks to build a young backline for the future.
