Chelsea starlet on his way to Bundesliga as clubs open talks

Chelsea starlet Thorgan Hazard is all set to move to Bundesliga after the Blues opened talks with Borussia Monchengladbach over a possible move.

According to the London Evening Standard, Monchengladbach sporting director, Max Eberl has met with Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo to discuss about the permanent transfer of Thorgan Hazard.

Eberl was in England over the weekend as Monchengladbach’s Under-21 side were playing Chelsea on Friday night and the Monchengladbach sporting director took some time out of his schedule to discuss Hazard’s future with his parent club.

Thorgan Hazard joined Chelsea in 2012, for a fee of £2.5m when his elder brother Eden Hazard moved to London. Since then, the young Belgian has been on loan and is currently playing for Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 21-year-old has impressed for the Bundesliga outfit and they are already looking to agree a permanent transfer. The Blues are keen to extend the loan, however Monchengladbach are hopeful that a permanent deal can be struck.

Ebrel revealed that Hazard is an important part of the group and has settled in well with the first team. Further, he also confirmed that his talks with Emenalo were positive.

“Thorgan is a great guy, a great person and is playing very well in the first team.

“It was great (to talk with Emenalo). I like Michael and we have a good relationship because of Thorgan and his loan at Borussia. We had a good meeting”, he said.
