Chelsea FC 07/08 Team Lineup

I’m a die-hard Chelsea fan I have been destroyed by the loss of both the Premiership title and (again) the lack of a champions league trophy to add to the trophy cabinet. But I’m far from blaming this on Mourinho. I think I speak for every Chelsea fan when I say he is the ONLY manager for the job. But i believe that Chelsea have to make some serious changes to the playing staff.

I am getting worried about all the speculation about Lamps and Terry leaving because without them I believe that Chelsea would only be scraping a UEFA cup spot. Even if their contracts are tied up in the next few weeks we need to make changes.

Here is a starting line-up that i believe that would win Chelsea the league back and would finally win us that highly coveted Champions League trophy:

GK : Petr Cech (irreplaceable)

RB : Daniel Alves (would reportedly cost 15m but money well spent on a player that would finally end the search for a reliable right back)

CB : John Terry ( always irreplaceable )

CB : Alex ( yes Alex. not Carvalho. this guy is fast, skillful and a complete powerhouse. )

LB : Ashley Cole ( this one was hard because Wayne Bridge pushed him at times but I think that we are going to see the best of this guy next season )

RM : John Obi Mikel (great prospect for the future. Mourinho already admitted we will see a lot more of this guy next season. shone near end of last term. Hes one to watch )

CDM ( if we stick with the diamond midfield) : Micheal Essien ( his power will be essential if we are to win the quadruple next year )

LM : Florent Malouda ( stated he is unhappy and wants to leave Lyon. cheap but an amazing player. Lyon’s top scorer last term. mourinho already said he is interested – sorry Joe Cole; I dont find you in the starting 11 next term but will be an amazing player to bring off the bench).

CAM : Frank Lampard (if he is here if not KAKA )

CF : Didier Drogba ( I have to say i was one of his biggest critics but the wind stopped blowing him over and he has stopped accusing the grass for fouls and has become one of our brightest performers)

CF : This one I really am undecided on but at the moment I am leaning on Tevez but when David Villa arrives i will probably be proved wrong but now we also have the powerful and experienced Claudio Pizzaro who will be a definite goal treat next year. Tevez will be at Chelsea though and Mourinho will impliment a four striker rotation system between them. ( Remember we lose Drogba and Kalou to the African Nations Cup. )

That leaves one more thing who will be leaving us here at Stamford Bridge. I think we have seen the last of the disappointing Khalid Boulahrouz and the useless Geremi. I also believe we have unfortunately seen the last of Arjen Robben. He was the brightest talent in his first season at Chelsea but has become the most injury prone player at the club. And yes you guessed it Andriy Shevchenko. Really he never arrived and at this stage I along with many Chelsea fans have become fed up with his lack of effort against worthwhile opponents.

Thats all I have to say on the matter and a few of you people probably disagree with me on more than a few of the points I made in this piece.

I will be proved right just you wait and see.

Tevez, Villa and Malouda linked with Liverpool? Liverpool have been linked with a host of players, all the popular transfer targets because Liverpool are the latest club to be taken over and they’ve been talked up as wanting to spend a lot of money.

Villa to Liverpool is as much a joke as the Torres to United story – and see how that turned out.

Malouda is no done deal, and no one knows anything about Tevez’s potential move, so the Tevez to Liverpool dream is as fictitious as the Tevez to Chelsea dream – apart from the ‘we won’t spend money this summer’ vibes coming from Stamford Bridge.

    - Alves is certainly a good player (offensively) but his defensive capabilities are not on par with the requirements of a top premiership player. Perhaps he can perform in a wide midfield role where he’d be good in the premiership.
    - Shevchenko has, in my opinion, showed that he tries and works but the premierships speed and tackling are poison to his capabilities. He has lost a yard but will still do well in a “slower” league.
    - Tevez, as you rightly say, is what we still need. He is hard working, fast and skillfull and will compliment Drogba in attack.

You sound quite confident that you will sign these players despite the fact that Malouda is still openly touting himself to Real and realistically Tevez will most likely head the same way. Its a dangerous game to play, Liverpool fans would do well to remember the same. You’re guarenteed to end up with egg on your face. If you beleive the papers then Liverpool are actually buying everyone this year. Im sure that both teams will end up with one or two of the big names but lets not get too protective of players your respective clubs haven’t officially signed yet. Sounds ridiculous. I think the Villa to Chelsea story is as ridiculous as the Villa to Liverpool story..
Sheva will surely be given another season, it would be incredibly harsh to send him back so soon. Mourinho should work on his man management skills if he wants the best out of him. Yeah Carvallho has got to be a starter too. I think that Chelsea would actually be a better team without Lampard, thats my only concern if he leaves, from a United point of view.

    June 3rd, 2007 @ 20:46
  12. LordDiver

I have to agree with BootifullGame. Chelsea will be a better team without Lampard. He’s a very selfish player, not very disciplined, and technically not that strong. His passing is not very impressive. His goal scoring record, I think, is largely due to his selfishness, i.e. many shots on goal when other players are in better positions.
I truly believe Ballack is a better player and could easily replace Lampard. He is stronger physically, technically more able, and certainly more disciplined. Plus, he’s a good header of the ball and cn shoot if given the opportunity. He has suffered this season from having to share the midfield with Lampard.

i think it is a ridiculous starting line up chelsea have in the past been buying players lavishly but the the net output from players has been very unsatisfactory considering they have spent 21million on player like SWP and never utilized him is a real sorry story…i think manu edged chelsea in one department they always played their best 11 unlike chelsea who sacrificed their quality gameplay usin robben and joecole to satisfy their hifi prosucts shevshenko and ballack who never produced results..chelsea should focus on their current squad rather than goin for players who have scored well this seaseon this is stupidity …mourinho was very right in saying that he has to work on his squad…and not interested in buying players this summer.

    June 3rd, 2007 @ 22:50
  14. Dash

I don’t see Chelski going for Daniel Alves. JM prefers defenders to do defending first.

Also as pointed out the new faces have been linked with every club that is intending to buy this summer so their coming to chelsea is far from a done deal.

IMO Chelsea have the personnel to line up best as 4-2-3-1 ala ManU against Roma or Real Madrid at the turn of the century. But guess, that would be too attacking for JM.

And yes, Lampard is way overrated. His work ethic does not match Essien’s or Gerrard and for all his goals he takes way too many chances. The only thing I can say well of him is his ability to pop in the box at opportune moments, but a top midfielder is rated on numerous other parameters.

I cant stp laughing king909. U have written the worst article i have ever read. The funniest part is the fact that u sound serious when u say that chelsea can sign the likes of malouda, alves, david villa or teves. Chelski may have the money but ultimately the player decides where to go, malouda favours a move to AC Milan, alves and villa dont want to move to any club at the moment. Teves’ future is still undecided.

Another thing, where on earth did u work out that pizarro “will be a definite goal treat”. He played 43 games (14 of them were made as a sub)last season and he managed to score a whooping 12 goals. Shevchenko did a better job than that. he played 46 and managed to score 16 goals. if u think pizarro is a goal treat than u must think someone like Alan smith from manu is a goal machine.

And Finally, Fat Frank LUMP-ard, got the reception he deserved in the england-brazil game, he is too over-rated and chelski should thank their lucky stars that other teams want to pay money for his services bcos he is a liablilty, he has proved time and again that he wastes more chances than any other quality midfielder in the PL, any decent midfielder can score plenty of goals if he had the likes of essien, terry, Makelele and carvalho covering his ass.

UEFA CUP next season for the Russians toy boys.

Stupid article..how can u miss players like Ballack, Carvalho?? Chelski will probably win the award for fielding the most expensive starting 11 and apart from that i dont see u wining anything again. fat frank is over rated..gerrard and scholes way better than him and are not selfish!

    king 909,
    1. Carvalho won’t be dropped.
    2. 4-3-3 will return next season. Since Makelele will be to old to be used in a Diamond.
    3. Schevchenko and Ballack will still be around next season. And will finally prove their worth.

    4. Glen Jonson will be handed a first team chance by Mourinho.

    5. This seasons signings by Mourinho will be to fill the holes exposed in the squad depth last season and to cover teh African Nations Cup contingent.

So don’t expect men like Malouda and Villa at all. Or any big names signings. Chelsea in all honesty don’t need any.

    Complete Rubbish Line Up

Why would Chelsea buy Malouda when they have Joe Cole and Robben ffs?

Schevchenko will start this year again, and no other big name strikers are likely to be bought.

And why would carvalho be dropped???

    Heres my lineup:-

    Cech
    (Cheap right-back) – Terry – Carvalho – A.Cole

4-3-3 fit Chelsea to the wire, and if they hadn’t change their line-up, we wouldn’t be lifting the title, seriously. Chelsea have a squad that every other manager secretly wished they had. Cech, Terry, Carvalho, Essien, Drogba, Lampard, Shevchenko, Ballack, Cole(Joe), Robben. What is the point changing personnel?
Lampard may take a whole lot of chances, but he still score goals. He and Terry have been the backbone of a Chelsea side that have won two titles and pushed for a third if Manu had not been such a irresistible force this season. And add to that, the growing stature of Cech, Essien, Drogba and Cole, Chelsea have always been favourites and will remain to be next season even if Manu have won the title. If by any chance, Abramowich have decided to close the cheque book, with their current squad, why would any Chelsea fans or Mourinho complain?

Furthermore, Sheva and Ballack will not leave Chelsea and the next term they will prove their worth, even though I hope I’m proven wrong. Sidwell, Pizarro and Alex, that is all they need this close summer, although it might be good to get rid of ALOT of deadwood; Geremi, Bouhlarouz, Diarra anyone?

-i think shevchenko should be sold to milan for kaka
-khalid boularouz and gerimi should be sold
-chelsea should also buy daniel alves as he is young and talented
-i don’t know if chelsea should buy tevez or villa but since they want to buy the man with the cheapest price
-chelsea should keep robben as his pace is insane!!!
-lamps and terry should stay as NOBODY can replace them

chelsea should also buy alot of young and star players

    go chelsea!!!!!!!!!!!

    1) Question about the years you have been a pensioner! (U have all qualities of a Roman Era Blue)

    2) Do you know what happens when you have more noobs to the PL in your first team than there are inhabitants in Ivory Coast?

    3) Ballack/Sheva starting practically every match hasnt opened your eyes yet?

    4) Former Pudlian? all your targets seem to be linked someway or other to Pool!

5)Mikel/Essien/Kalou/Drogba/Geremi : will be playing ANC this season. Should you be looking for covers?

    6) Pizzaro/Sidwell thats a striker and a midfielder. So who plays day in day out for those TWO months as CDM? Old Maka?

    7) Joe Cole : Can someone tell him he is not good as others while doing stepovers. the defenders read him a full minute ago if hes gonna do one.

8)How many more millions so that Roman’s son sees his CM/FM team running ragged at the Bridge? Roberto Carlos (remember anyone?)

    9) What happens when Mikel/Essien comes back?
Flo’ will warm the bench? the “hardcore” german will sit on the bench?

    and FINALLY
    10) Ahmed : get a grip on who pens what in here.

    ridiculous article
first the fact that your even thinking that carvalho should not be first choice next season. Its amazing and so typical of many chelsea supporters who become bored with players and want their team to buy new ones. Carvalho, along with drogba and essien was one of your best performers last season. I honestly didnt rate him at first, but without doubt he is one the best CB in europe.
The second point is that chelsea big spending days are over, thats not saying they are not going to challenge but they are not going to spend like they have done in previous seasons. As stated by mourinho and kenyon.

This team is a joke, yer u can make it on ur Fifa games but back in the real world jose not gunna do this EVER. Spend 40 mill on villa when sehva’s has been made the main striker then split up a great pairing for Alex *appluads* genius, jus brillant. Then and drop their most creative player’sory Joe…ur not good enough, Are u actually Mr Abramovich cause only he knows about football as much as u do. With This team hmmmmm 4th place.

That line up of yours is a dream.

    This may be possible

    CECH

    D.ALVES TERRY CARVALHO A.COLE

    ESSIEN

    MIKEL LAMPS

    PIZARRO SHEVA
    DROGBA

I WOULD LIKE THAT THE BLUES BUY D. VILLA AND I DONT THINK THAT ALEX WOULD MAKA A BETTER SEASON THAN CARVALHOS LAST SEASON. MAYBE HE AND ESSIEN WERE THE BEST FOR CHELSEA.

HOPE LAMPARD RETURNS TO HIS BEST LEVEL.

    June 5th, 2007 @ 00:25
  28. Joe CFC

    Cech

    poalo/glenda, riccy, Terry, Bridge/cole

    Obi
    Essien Frank
    Joey Cole

    Didier Pizarro

In a 4-4-2 formation this could be our most devasting. John obi holds his place, Essien holds his place, Frank and Ballack can be rotated based on form and games played. Joe Cole is our most dynamic attacking player and should be allowed to roam behind the front two (he can be wasted sometimes on the wing).

    June 5th, 2007 @ 00:55
  29. Richard

Yeah, I more than disagree with parts of this article.

Carvalho after the season hes had will NOT be dropped, you are the crazy one.

Chelsea will bring in a top right back, i dont think they will be ‘cheap’. Im thinking this alves guy who i have no clue about or richards. I mean we know richards is proven quality in the premiership. Alves could be a del horno lurking. I dont know though because i havent seen him to give an opinion.

Chelsea are buying smart, Sidwell Free,Pizarro Free and Alex (who i do rate) 50p. Alex will be a good back up.

Chelsea will buy another striker, im thinking tevez or McCarthy for around 20 mil.

Chelsea will let go of KB, Ferrera and also Geremi, Possibly makalele

    June 5th, 2007 @ 13:11
  30. Tomas

For Chelsea’s sake I hope you buy a new right back, either Richards or Alves. If you don’t, you’ll have serious problems reclaiming the title next season, since you just don’t have a decent player there. There’s of course the obvious problem of not having a class full back, but the bigger problem for you is that Mourinho tend to move Essien back. Essien is by far the most dynamic midfielder in Chelsea (and probably the league) and he was missed a lot driving the ball forward at times last season. I know he played CB quite a lot and not so much right back (from where he actually did go forward). To me placing all that energy at CB is just poor management.

I don’t think Mourinho will change much in the starting line-up. No question both Sidwell and Pizarro are brought in as back-ups, and Alex is probably too, even though he’s a very good defender. But you’ll still see a lot of Ballack and Sheva, and they’ll not contribute anymore than the past season, because they’re simply too slow on the ball (Ballack) and not quick enough anymore (Sheva).

I also believe you’ll keep most of your squad, and so you will continue to struggle with injuries to the Coles and Robben, which leaves you with a midfield of players unable to challenge, and therefore you’ll once again rely on the incredible Drogba in many matches.

But you have so many quality players, and of course the title will go the wire again next season…hopefully with the same outcome.

    June 5th, 2007 @ 13:50
  31. Conor

    Right, firstly: I cant see how anyone thinks pizzaro could be anything more than average; its not as if he made any headlines over in germany, and obviously the premiership is harder… Then alves, he is a top quality player and I can’t think of a better right back in the world. And for dropping carvalho for alex you obviously paid little attention to carvalho this season, as he was probably the best centre back in the presmiership, and although I think alex is an excellent player, its not as if he will just walk into the team. This would be my team: {4-2-3-1}

Cech(obviously, best kepper in the permiership/world maybe)

    Alves – Terry – Carvalho – A.Cole

    Essien – Ballack(/mikel?better defensively?)

    J.Cole – Shevchenko – Robben

    Drogba

    or

Cech(obviously, best kepper in the permiership/world maybe)

    Alves – Terry – Carvalho – A.Cole

    Essien – Ballack

    Kalou – J.Cole – Robben

Shevchenko(if he imprroves and drogba goes out of form;it has to happen some time, normally does after an excellent season)

    June 5th, 2007 @ 14:33
  32. Matt

-The speculation you speak of is very unlikely. If there are any more transfers for Chelsea besides Sidwell, Pizarro, and Alex, it would be leaning more towards Alves (RB) or McCarthy (CF), however Ferreira began to turn on at RB towards the end of the season.

-Alex over Carvalho? C’mon man. Don’t be dumb. Let’s face the facts. He was one of our best “in-form” players last season, which is why it hurt us SO bad when he got injured, and had to drop Essien back into CB.

-As for the diamond, I think it will be dropped, and Mourinho will return to his 4-3-3 or a traditional 4-4-2.

-Boulahrouz, SWP, and Geremi = GONE! (basically)

-Last, but not least, Malouda will never be wearing a blue shirt, sorry man.

This is what I predict for next season, which is one of the better formations we could acquire.

    4-3-3

    Cech

    Alves/Ferreira – Terry – Carvalho – Bridge/A. Cole

    Mikel/Ballack – Essien** – Lampard

    Kalou/Pizzaro – Drogba/Sheva – J. Cole/Robben

**[During the African Cup, Essien will PROBABLY get replaced by Diarra, Makelele (if not sold), or Sidwell.]

Dont doubt your love for the Blues Bro, but you ain’t got a clue!

Alex and Terry in the same team???
I wouldn’t like to see them chasing after the Agbonlahors of the prem. Oh no. That wouldn’t be something to enjoy believe me…

Alex is a top defender but we’re gonna have to find a way of using him properly… and even though Cavalho used to be an accident waiting to happen, he’s knuckled down a bit and had a bloody good season.

    Malouda instead of Joe Cole????
This guy wouldn’t get a goal in the prem… He’s nothing special. Joe gets goals, creates chances and pulls us out of trouble.

    Here’s my team

    Cech

    A. Cole (Bridge is the best crosser we have but one on one defending, he gets dumped on his backside far too often, or he just turns into thin air when faced with wingers wi anything that even looks like pace)
    Terry (no comments really needed)
    R. Carvalho (deserves it after his improvements)
Diarra/Fereira or preferably a Quality right back.

    Essien
    Lampard
    J. Cole

Robben (but he’ll be injured most of the time)
    SuperDrog
Shevchenko (PLAYING UP FRONT!!! Not left wing or right wing or anywhere else)

What is this about Drogba and Chelsea ambition?

    http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=438177&cc=3888

The way I see it, Chelsea is very serious about challenging on all 4 fronts. What then does Drogba mean by “lack of ambition”? Is it that he’s now holding out for more money, or is this article bs? Any inside info from Chelsea fans?

    June 12th, 2007 @ 15:00
  36. Ahmed Bilal

Chelsea detractors will call it an example of what happens when you hire mercenaries.

Basically, before he retires, Drogba wants to play in Spain (IMO) for Real / Barca. Either that or he has eyes on Milan.

Emphasis on ‘before he retires’ – it does not mean he wants to move right now.

lack of ambition would be not bringing in the right players to reinforce the Chelsea squad. I doubt that will happen, although Drogba will leave Chelsea eventually to go player in Spain / Italy.

    June 12th, 2007 @ 15:14
  37. Razali

Chelsea should sell their player like geremi, wright phillips and boularouz. Lampard, terry , shevchenko, drogba, robben, cech, cudicini, essien, ballck, j.cole, a. cole, bridge ,mikel, kalou and calvalho should stay becausae of their performance last season. Ballck and shevchenko, we should give them a chance to shine premier league at least three season before to decise to sell them. Replace geremi with malouda, wright phillips with tevez and boularouz with dani alaves. Buy them club will get the result.

    June 12th, 2007 @ 15:17
  38. cbrown564

Razali- if chelsea sold geremi wright phillips and boularouz they would get about 20m, and tevez, malouda and alves would cost about 55m, and it doesn’t look like chelsea will be spending lots of money…Chelsea should buy alves because the only player they need is a right back, they need a striker aswell but then shevchenko would have to leave and that won’t happen, plus chelsea don’t have enough money.

Ill agree on the Right back situation, but there is no way you can replace the cb pairing is JT and RC, ill admit i wasnt a big fan of RC but he has shown how much it means to him by being our most reliable defender this year by far, he filled the void in defence when JT was injured and coming back and he kept us in, the line up next year injury free shoul be

    Cech
    Alves Carvalho Terry A.Cole

    Essien

    Lampard Ballack
(will show true quality next year)

    Robben/SWP J.Cole
Drogba/ Sheva (another to prove self)

yes i know back to the trusty 4-3-3, well it did win us the prem 2 years in a row and we were dangerous to the opposition every week.

first off carvalho isnt goin any where. secondly malouda has been linked with a handful of clubs . frank lampard is gonna stay at the bridge as we all know and if kaka were to leave he would b goin to man u because he wants 2 play wit ronaldo or he would b headed to real. robben has already claimed he is goin to sign wit chelsea again. the only people i see leaving for sure right now is boularhouz n geremi. also if u would actually read the transfer news before you post nonsense, teves is linked with inter. finally j.cole may have missed most of the season but that LM spot is always his and everyone knows that.

    this is my probable formation

4-4-2 (i no very old fasioned but easiest to work wit) or 4-3-3 which was used alot bu chelsea i noticed

    chec
Bridge/or new RB – Terry – Carvalho/(and Alex would switch if he decides to comes over) – A. Cole

the midfeild is tough because they have evry type of player you would need in midfeild.
but it would look somethin like this SWP/Robben – lampard – Essien/Ballack – J. Cole

    Drogba – Sheva/Pizarro

Without Lampard u could have won the quadruple. I am not saying this a a Man Utd fan but as a fan of the english game – lampard is the most over-rated english midfielder EVER!

Davi: Kaka definitely isn’t gonna go 2 man u lik, if he leaves he will go 2 Real, only Real, and pizzaro is crap i’d have kalou ahead of pizzaro, and you say ‘or 4-3-3 which was used alot bu chelsea i noticed’ , well done there big las, you say that ass if its a good observation, they used it for a whole year like! And ‘cech’ is the right way to spell his name. Bouhlarouz isn’t ‘definitely’ leaving, evryone wants to but why would anyone want to buy him?! And yeah there is no chance tevez will go to chelsea, he probably will go to Inter, but they’re jus after buying a new striker so maybe YOU should read the transfer news, no-one really knows who tevez is gona go to so theres no reason to read transfer news, most of it is just made-up crap. By the way, United look like they’re gonna buy quagliarella, who may i say is better than any of chelseas signings so far=]!

i have to dissagree with the idea of Alex replacing Carvalho. he is a decent player, but anyone with half a brain can see that Carvalho is one of chelseas best players.look what happened when he was missing against liverpool, Paolo Ferreira had to fill in and was running around like a headless chicken. if anyone should go it should be him.

  44. CHELSEA 4 EVER

Firstly, I think that chelsea must sign a contract with DAVID VILLA of VALENCIA. Furthermore chelsea can add KAKA in the starting -11- as a simple striker guy. Also, DIEGO ( the brazilian player ) is a good player for chelsea and Luca Toni as well. A good idea is to sell PAULO FEREIRA and CLAUDIO PIZARRO( I don’t thing PIZARRO is the solution for chelsea ) to take some extra money. In my opinion FEREIRA didn’t offer so much to chelsea all this time. It’s a useless player and chelsea must get rid of him. I like LEITE RIBEIRO ADRIANO, too. His a player-miracle and one of the best brazilian players. His a big scorrer, too. He’s the best player of INTER. Why don’t chelsea add him to the cfc player collection??? Lastly I think that chelsea should start searching for another manager. All these years Mourinho didn’t do nothing. Chelsea didn’t win a champions league so far. Chelsea will have this chance with another manager perhaps!!!

Chelsea 4 Ever, you are a Chelsea bandwagoner of the worst kind:

Selling Pizzaro? We just got him, why would we sell him?

Why in the hell would Kaka want to play at the Bridge?

I suppose Mourinho is terrible because under him, Chelsea have won the most trophies they ever have, including back to back league titles.

(If I see a comment following this saying “Chelsea won trophies ebcause of Roman, not Mourinho,” I will choke you.)

chelsea would have won trophies without mourinho, although he helped, that is obvious. without roman, although i would not care, chelsea might have been like leeds and even be in the championship due to the state the club was in. so i guess the right thing to say is that chelsea won trophies because of ambramovich, mourinho helped.
the thing is that before mourinho came chelsea had already signed robben and cech as well as being heavily linked to drogba, adding to terry, lampard etc. to be honest i think the key to chelsea’s success is cech, okay ranieri probably wasn’t the right man but with the team he had assembled whoever they brought in had an excellent chance to win the premiership and domestic cups, as well as the cl
may i just say that alex is a great defender and even if carvalho is a shoe-in at the moment, alex has the abiity to take his position in central defence

To me mourinho is the best coach in the priemiership, frak lampard should remain in chelsea becos we need some body like him there.he strong and also good midfielder.pizarro is a good signing and also a skillful stricker,i believe shevko will turn out to be the most dangerious player this season.mikel obi is a wonderful kid full of full of courage and motivation,it will be a good line up this season bcos the doctor of football is there(mourinho).

sorry CONOR, did not check the spelling, there are different spellings, unlike what you got wrong. jackass

this article just shows how high and mighty chelsea fans think they are, someone should tell the idiots that they would not be a prem’ club if it wasn’t for abramovich. YOU DONT HAVE A DEVINE RIGHT TO THE TITLE. I DONT KNOW WHY YOU THINK EVERY PLAYER WANTS TO JOIN YOU EITHER, KAKA?, TEVEZ?, VILLA? IT’S LIKE CHRISTMAS, WHERE A KID ASKS FOR PRO EVO 6 BUT INSTEAD GETS PRO EVO 4, EXCEPT HERE ITS FANS WANTING VILLA AND GETTING PIZZARO.

“When David Villa and Tevez eventually come” and “will win us the quadruple”. You Chelsea fans are stupider than I thought. I doubt you’ll win the league, Man Utd probably will and the Champions League is going to be won by the Nerazzurri.

Come on man, what an Ignorant article.

    1) I can appreciate that this was written a while ago, but the way you assume its every players dream to join Chelsea is ridiculous. Why would Kaka leave AC to play in the premier league? Look how Tevez has turned out. I guess you may get Alves (who is brilliant) and with Abramovich you can always dream, but still. David Villa aswell, hes got no reason to leave Valencia (Saw them play Inter yesterday, they were crazy good).

    2) Having Alex above Carvalho is ridiculous. Carvalhos one of the worlds best defenders. Also putting Malouda above your most gifted player Robben!? come on man.

    3) what is it with some Chelsea fans and Terry and Lampard. Uefa cup without them, are you stupid or what? In terms of intangible benfit to the team then fair enough they’re fighters, they embody the Lion all that shit, and I admit theyre good players. But honestly in terms of pure footballing ability you guys would be just as strong with Ballack and whichever top class centre back you sign before the summer.

  58. You are an idiot

Seriously buddy, you are an idiot.
Sheva has been injured since his purchase last year. It has nothing to do with him not trying. That is why he has had his surgeries now in the off-season. He felt he could play through them last season and they only got worse. When that wanker Mourinho finally smartens up and plays him correctly he will climb to the tops of the scoring charts. Just look at Voronin who is well known to be the lesser Ukrainian striker.

Last season the ivorian stricker Dedia Drogba successfully play for chelsea fc and became the best stricker in africa.

He also obtained african title. I want to ask the new coach of chelsea fc, why is it that you are using Anica this season more than Drogba.

Because during the time of Monrino, drogba was chelsea first choice.

Hay Mr. Manager are want you to think well,I’m saying this because as soon as Drogba leaves chelsea fc you will never see such a player like him again.
