Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is plotting a sensational swap deal involving Eden Hazard for the Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Russian billionaire is keen to build his team around the Portuguese star and is willing to get rid of his best player in order to make it happen.

Chelsea are willing to use Eden Hazard to land the former Manchester United winger.

Chelsea have been in disastrous form this season and Hazard has struggled to replicate his devastating form from last season. The Belgian has been a massive let down and Abramovich believes this is the right time to make a move and get Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with moves away from Santiago Bernabeu and the likes of PSG are very interested in his services. Roman believes that the former Manchester United man can revive the Blues.

During his first spell in the Premier League, Ronaldo made a remarkable impact and guided Manchester United to a treble and Chelsea will be hoping for more of the same if they manage to pull it off.

The Independent think that super agent Jorge Mendes could have a vital role to play in this transfer. Mendes also represents Mourinho and has orchestrated several big money moves to Stamford Bridge before.

He was involved in the deals for Diego Costa, Filipe Luis and Radamel Falcao and could play a key role in convincing the player to join Chelsea.
