Chelsea striker Diego Costa turned 27 today.
The Brazilian will be celebrating his birthday away from football, after being suspended for his antics against Arsenal and after being dropped by Del Bosque from Spain.
What was supposed to be a simple birthday message from the club, turned into a comedy.
The Chelsea official account wished the striker on Twitter, but the reaction from the Chelsea fans were comedy gold.
Football twitter took turns to mock his matured looks and there were several jokes about him being a senior citizen

Well, that was cheeky from the Chelsea fans. After a flurry of wishes from the fans this morning, i’m sure Diego Costa will not complain about a cake, in case Chelsea missed out on that.
For what it’s worth – Costa being only 27 came as surprise to me as well.
