According to reports in TMW, Chelsea and Arsenal target Jackson Martinez is set to decide on his future after the World Cup in Brazil.

The 27 year old who has enjoyed a stunning season for Porto this campaign has featured in 41 appearances scoring 23 goals in the process. Arsenal and Chelsea have been keeping tabs on the Colombian who is expected to dazzle in the World Cup which is barely just over a fortnight away.

While Chelsea have been linked with Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa over the past few weeks, with nothing conclusive, Jose Mourinho could move for Martinez, who is adept at leading the line on his own.

An out and out centre forward who can finish with both feet, Martinez is also on the wish list of Arsene Wenger who is desperate to bring in a striker who could take the pressure off Olivier Giroud at the Emirates.

Italian side Napoli are also interested in the striker and the Partenopei had chased the Colombian last summer. It is believed that manager Rafa Benitez is keen to bring a striker at par with Gonzalo Higuain at Naples. Roma manager Rudi Garcia is also believed to be staking his claim in the mad scramble for the striker.

Portuguese newspaper A bola had earlier reported that the striker’s agent Peppino Tirri gave an indication that his client could make a switch in the summer. “Jackson now costs less than 40 million, because the contract ends in 2016 with FC Porto and will not renew.”
