The new Chelsea 2016-17 home kit follows the same template as Adidas’s other Euro 2016 home kits: the new kit comes in the club’s traditional blue colour, featuring a white v-collar with blue trim.

It has the iconic Adidas three stripes running down on both sides of the new 16-17 Chelsea home shirt. The home, away and the third kit is sponsored by Yokohama; the sponsor logo visible on the front, the ‘Tyres’ annex has in the end not been dropped, while the overall combination of blue and white colour adds a soothing visual effect.

Belgium winger Eden Hazard and England U-21 midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek revealed the Adidas 2016-17 Chelsea home kit design live on Facebook.

‘Blue is the colour,’ Hazard said. ‘It’s good, it’s new, I hope we can win some games with this shirt. Not too tight, it’s good.’

Loftus-Cheek added: ‘I like the little lions over the shirt and also the stripes on the inside rather than the outside of the arms.
