Chelsea 2014 Transfers Update: Ins, Outs and Future Signings

Cesc FabregasChelsea have possibly done the best deals in the transfer windows amongst the top Premier League clubs in the ongoing window.

The Blues first signed the former Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona. He was then followed by the arrival of Diego Costa and Filipe Luis. The Brazil-born Spanish international and the Brazilian left-back arrived from Atletico Madrid.

In addition to this, Thibaut Courtois is set to make a return to Stamford Bridge while Brazil international David Luiz has completed his big money move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The west London club has allowed two of their legend Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole leave on a free transfer after their contracts expired. The latter joined AS Roma earlier this summer and Luis will take place in the squad.

The addition of Fabregas will see him replace Lampard in the Stamford Bridge outfit’s midfield from the next season.

Meanwhile, another summer signing Mario Pasalic has joined Elche on a season-long loan. With Jose Mourinho adding Nemanja Matic to his midfield in the January transfer window, the addition of Fabregas will further strengthen Chelsea’s central midfield role.

Chelsea lacked a quality striker since the club legend Didier Drogba left the Blues after guiding to their first ever Champions League trophy. The addition of Costa, who was one of the most prolific strikers for the La Liga champions last season could prove vital for Mourinho’s side.

With a very balanced side, Chelsea are the firm favourites to win the Premier League title this season.

DONE DEAL: Tottenham finally sign Liverpool target, plus two more deals confirmed
Frank Lampard is headed to New York City FC

  1. Cfc should sign another cf, to b another helpin hand to our cf, coasta, lukaku, why cos coasta may likely be a flop ds season, due to he needs xtra more time to blend into cfc way of play&if jm future him witout givn him d propar guardline to blind in,honestly he ll b overloaded wit much more task, tores has bein our heartbreak ever since he came to cfc frm liverpool, jm shuld try look into ds case, lukaku in d case, is another strickin force dt we already v, wit andra shureel is our only best option dt we v @hand now in cfc ds new season,so jm look into it, to plan ds season to better us

  2. Chelsea FC now need another big, strong and reliable defensive midfield to play with Matic in a game were we need to use two defensive midfielders. Paul Pogba was to be the best buy for chelsea this transfer window now that the price £60 is to big the Khadila can be a good inclusion also. Then Torres must be sold to bring fresh blood in attack and Drogba should not be resigned his to old maybe as a coach not as a prayer

  3. First off Didier Drogba will be not only a great addition to Chelsea once again as a prolific striker but he will also be able to help these younger strikers like lukaku Costa and Patrick bamford who I believe should be a first team striker anyways as for the midfield pogba did not really impress me if any one should be signed by chelsea for the defensive midfield its sami khedira

  4. I have seen some football blogging sites but this one is exceptional. I love you guys. Keep up the good work

  5. I think if Drogba returns, we need to sell Torres. Costa and Lukaku are standard. We don’t need four forwards when only one will play. No more attacking signings, but we could do with a Pogba or Khedira. Pogba preferably because he’s still very young. Maybe Varane, just to be even more assured at the back. Finally Jose should consider the youth sides.. They aren’t that useless are they? They never get a shot.

  6. Yaaa i think we have done gd signings but our old stage style of play wont favour players like fabregas.ok am like mourinho shd get addictd to nice footbal rather than defending all the ninty mins

  7. GOD bless u Jose for dis tactical signings,I’m hoping to see my lovely Chelsea take glories dis season.AMEN,CHEERS YA.
