Mourinho Looking To Win Champions League With Third Team But Rivals Barcelona Look Set To Deny Him

Jose Mourinho, will be attempting to make history this season by winning the Champions League with three different teams but even though he faces his easiest task yet with Real Madrid, having already guided Porto and Inter Milan to European success at the highest level, he may find that Spanish rivals Barcelona stand in their way on route to the final.

The only team rated better than Real Madrid in the Champions League this year is Barcelona according to the bookies. And it is not hard to see why Barcelona are better fancied if you compare recent records.

Last year Barcelona went out to the winners in the Semi Final, Real Madrid went out in the second round against Lyon. The previous season Barcelona won it whilst Real Madrid once again perished in the second round and a year before that it was same again for Real Madrid and Barcelona went out in the semis to the eventual winners once again.

In fact the last time Barcelona didn’t win it or go out to the Champions was in the 2006/2007 season and even then they were knocked out by the runners up. It will take a great performance to beat Barcelona this year.

Chelsea are expected to put up the best fight from the English clubs as they are rated slightly better than Man Utd by the bookies by even they will have their work cut out to beat Barcelona.

The Spanish Champions do look a really good bet and you can back them, or any other team, at great odds by clicking here Champions League Odds. Select the bookie with the best odds and take note if they are offering a free bet, most of them will be.
