Interesting take on Zamora Chris, I don't especially rate him but watching Fulham last season it was clear that he was an important element of their success with his physicality and selflessness.

Jordi Gomez was fantastic for Swansea last season, but it is another pair of Wigan midfielders I am more intrigued by- Charles N'Zogbia has been fantastic pre-season and has plenty of talent, and they have signed James McCarthy from Hamilton for a few million quid. He is damn good, SPL young player of the year, debut at 15, he is going places. Just hope he doesn't follow the likes of James McFadden and find it tough down south.

Few other little gems I think may come out this season:

- Anderson: should get more license to attack, which is what he is good at, and I think once he breaks his duck he will score freely.

- Altidore: I like him enough to re-evaluate my assessment of Hull's chances upwards. Say what you like about Brown Phil, he has done the business with this signing I think.

- Collison: he is class. Real class. Under Zola he will improve as well. Watch out for him. Tomkins as well, but Collison is a star in the making.
