I too have followed the rise and fall of Joaquin, the fall out between player and former manager have not helped at his club. But he came on as sub for Spain v Northern Ireland and although appearing to be carrying some extra weight, proved that he still has the pace and ability shown earlier in his career. I dont think he would last a whole game at his present fitness level,however!

im a HUGE fan of joaquin.he is one of my favourite players of all time and i really hope his career doesnt fall apart because it will be a huge loss to the beautiful game.he can be the best right winger in the world in my opinion

joaquin career is prety similar much 2 that of valencia. remember that side with beat the hell out of us(lfc) in 2002.a great side with benitez @ its head ( n with would win 2 titles n 1 uefa). a side then without the genuis of villa, silva, joaquin himself. now look at that side. shame…
