Call for Writers

The top five reasons you should sign up / login right now and write for Soccerlens:
- You’re going to be thinking / talking / reading about football all day long anyway - might as well put all that time spent into something productive. By the way, that’s how Soccerlens got started.
- You’ve got something to say about the team you support. That’s how most other guest authors on SL got started.
- You can promote your own football blog that way - hey, life’s tough when you’re starting out in this field, just ask me.
- You’ve got a wicked sense of humor and can insult other people without getting sued, or insult your own club without getting lynched. No, not everything is about football.
- You want to start your own football / football club blog - in which case contact me asap so I can help you get started (see our Newcastle United blog and Manchester United blog for ‘examples’).
A lot of people tell me that they don’t have the time to write, don’t know how to write or what to write about. All I can say to that is that I thought the same thing when I started Soccerlens - and quite frankly, many readers will say that I still don’t know how to write
It’s easy to make excuses, but once you get started it’s addictive, whether you write once a day or once a week.
Of course, the super secret reason is that you love Soccerlens and want to help make it the best football news blog around…but if that’s not your cup of tea then pick one of the above.
When you’re done convincing yourself, sign up here and start writing.

Ahmed - I think that I will be able to write a ‘La Liga’ blog next year when I’m in Barcelona. I’m just not sure about how good my net connection is going to be.
Jeez, I hate the summer holidays - no football to talk about really!
@Ahmed - I really admire your work and was thinking if you will be willing to do some articles for my website? Just like write a column about whats happened in the EPL or any league.
i am interested in writing for soccerlens.com .
i have already signed up.
tell me how to get started.
thank you.
Sportsnet - you’re joking, right?
sadique - if you’ve signed up, just start writing! I mean, you know, start bashing Arsenal or something
i’d love to write for soccerlens but really and truly what will i write about? i mean trashing other sides is my profession but to do that here……….i don’t know.
I would like to give it a go again Ahmed. I basically have almost nothing to do these days since school finished. La Liga with a little weight on Real Madrid.
LOL! .. I just went through my email .. my old username does not work.
i am almost never offensive so i’ll think about it a little more and then have my say.
Best reason for not joining as an official writer: An article that you take great pains to write(do some extensive research, check everything from grammar to facts etc etc) about your favourite team/player/manager/goal may get torn to shreds by some rotter who, you cant even abuse face to face, and worst of all there may be a good number of halfwits suporting him/her. So people, follow my lead and just remain as guests……….(joke)
Redondo - would you be interested in co-writing a La Liga blog with me? I’ll be in Barcelona all next year and will be able to watch more closely (don’t have a TV at University, so have only caught about half of the games this season…).
iqnadirshah-dude your joke wasn’t funny,no wonder you don’t want to write for SL. i don’t mind writing since exams are almost over all i’d be doing is surfing the net, might as well do somthing on the net instead, only one problem, i have no idea what to write.
Hugo / Redondo - will get you guys started on the La Liga blog, no worries. But how will you guys write a blog if you can’t write more than once a month here?
this isnt the right place to write this, but ahmed why havent u written anything substantial about our 3 new players? or are you waiting till theyve signed and work permit problems r over? i watched nani yesterday in the u21 championship, nothing special!! hope sir alex can make him the player every1 claims he is.
Hey I’d love to write,(and may just do that in a few months time), but I’m preparing for a huge exam and as they say, “time is the enemy”………..
Nani and Anderson - a lot’s been already written about them, we already had a big discussion on nani and anderson which you should check if you haven’t already AND yes, waiting for the actual signings so we can discuss the future.
ignadirshah - classic case of procrastination mate
ahmed please excuse my brother (kadeem) for not having any sense of humor, i mean he did fall pretty hard when he was born, you know. but i am way more interseted in writing for SL than he is and i’m curious,do you have to write stuff that is endless, cuz i’d get bored of writing so much pretty dam quick.
wicked!
