Blackburn 2007/2008 Home & Away Kits

Update: Blackburn have switched kit manufacturers to Umbro and as a result new kits were issued – the images are below.

The problems with the bet24 logo still remain though.

There’s nothing ‘wrong’ with the kit design and I don’t know why people (non-blackburn fans, btw) are criticising it. I actually like the colors they’ve picked, although I’m not sure if the red and black will look as good when it’s actually worn by a player.

I think that most people reject the kit because of two reasons – one, it’s Blackburn, and two, the bet24 logo. The club bias is unfair but as far as sponsor logos are concerned surely bet24 can do a better job with their logo?

Or barring that, maybe the kit designers can learn how to integrate the logo into the design, instead of having it stuck on as an after-thought?

Lovin’ the designs, Bet24 logo needs designing into the shirt in a more durable and less iron transfer kinda way.

[...] The standout thing for me was the away kit collar, which I’m not sure that it looks too good. No complaints about the rest of the shirt though, as the colors are quite appealing to the eye and I think Aston Villa have done a great job in integrating the 32RED logo into their kit’s color scheme, unlike the Blackburn 2007/2008 kits. Bet24 are having a special logo for Rovers shirts, Its quite boring, but a lot better than the current ones. It now has a bet24.com on the logo too.

Heres the Link to the new Bet24 Logo, designed especially for Football. Its a nice design simple and quite attractive and effective, the Green and Blue colours are a good choice too and go well together. They’ve added a .com to the Bet24 logo too. Overall finally the Bet24 logo might actaully make the Blackburn shirts look nice and neat.
    Enjoy!

Looks like its true about Umbro, Sunderland & Birmingham had Lonsdale kits last season and both are down as Umbro supplied next season on wikipedia.

There not fakes, Rovers fans were asked to vote on designs for next seasons kits (We did it last year too) and these were the winners. Published on the official site on boxing day 2006. However, since then we have lost our deal with Lonsdale to Umbro, apparently the kits Umbro will make will be similiar but also include umbros branding for 2007, ie the diamonds on the shoulders and under the arms!

This new umbro kit is well smart, i dont realy see a problem with the bet 24 logo, rovers kit is the smartest out of all the umbro kits.

Umbro again!!!! Arghhhh!! You can’t escape them!

I do love their kits though, and I like that Blackburn have something different than just the plain one colour shirts that a lot of teams have (the halves remind me of my team Woking, apart from red and white instead of blue)….anyway…

I hadn’t really been bothered by it before, but since people have commented, I have to agree that I don’t really like the Bet24 logo on them. The company could at least make it blend in better (see the possible Villa home kit for how to do this).

    Overall, they are nice though.

I really like that faint pin-stripping down the arms of the shirts. I always thought Chelsea’s black away shirt last season with the pin strips looked classy so I’m glad Rovers have a bit of that now. Long-sleeve away shirt for me this season me thinks!

i prefered the templates by lonsdale, the away was a lot nicer when it was done by the lonsdale 1, but it is still nice, i dont like the umbro diamonds on the shoulders though

Just so that everyone out there knows……. Blackburns contract with Bet24 expires at the end of this new season. We have already hired a big International company to find us a good sponsor who is more inkeeping with the clubs image…. which will include the shirt colour scheme. So fingers crossed we wont have some silly multi-coloured circle anymore.

Come on you bluessss, lets give Benny McCarthy his dream of playing in the Champions League again….. and get there ourselves.
