Yes, he was the most expensive player in the world and played well for a while, but Betis were relegated the season after he signed for them. He was largely dissapointing for Betis and his career's been on the slide ever since. Unlike every other player on this list, Denilson never quite lived up to his big reputation. You may disagree, but that was my reasoning. I just didn't think he was one of the best 5 Brazilians of the 2000s.
