Speculation concerning the future of Chelsea owned goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been rife, and now the Belgian keeper himself has revealed that he will disclose his future plans very soon.

In the past few weeks, news emerged that Courtois could either make a permanent move to Atletico, or stay at Chelsea to challenge Petr Cech for his position.

Now, Courtois has spoken to Spanish news agency ‘Onda-Cero‘ and discussed his future plans and the title race.

However, Courtois gave little away regarding his next step but said more would be known in a short while.

“I will reveal my decision soon. I will let everyone know but for now I am just focused on the games we have,” Courtois said.

The Belgian goalkeeper has spent the last three seasons on loan from the Blues at the Vicente Calderon and has established a reputation as one of the finest young shot-stoppers in Europe.

Courtois also poured cold water on the rumours linking him with Real Madrid, saying:

“If the rumours [about Real] are not true, then they are not true. The one thing I have always said is this: it’s Atletico or Chelsea,”

“I am very happy to be with Atleti, my desire is to play and if I can’t do that at Chelsea and I can continue here, I’ll be very happy.”

Atletico Madrid are at the top of La Liga standings at the moment and Courtois is very happy with his teams’ performances.

“It is seven finals that remain now. We’re going game by game and that’s the best way,” he added.

“They are very tough matches and it’s best to take each game on its own. But what we’re doing is very good.”

Meanwhile, Atletico president Enrique Cerezo has once more underlined his intention to keep the 21-year-old at the club for as long as possible.

“Thibaut, as everyone knows, belongs to Chelsea,” he told Marca. “He is comfortable with us and we’re going to try to keep him here for as long as possible, but it’s not up to us.”
