		<description>In the long run, Beckham coming to the US will be a good thing for the game. I have to disagree with the poster above about the &quot;fading MLS&quot;. Even without Beckham, the league is viable, majority of the teams have built soccer-specific stadiums and are turning profit. Also, there is a solid core fan base. Pro soccer can and will grow in the US. It doesn&#039;t take overnight, give it another decade or so. After all, MLS is only 13 seasons young. And last season, MLS had a higher average attendance than both NBA and NHL.</description>

		<description>David Beckham brought life to the fading MLS. People recognize and learn to identify US teams because of Beckham. Not even Pele managed to do acheive that. MLS history books has to write a new chapter in it which belongs exclusively to David Beckham.</description>
