Bayern prepare for Hargreaves move to Manchester United
Bayern Munich completed a deal to sign Argentine midfielder Jose Ernesto Sosa from Estudiantes after Sosa, 21, passed a medical at Munich on Monday.
He will join Bayern at the start of next season on a four year contract.
Good news for Manchester United? Owen Hargreaves is still Manchester United’s top transfer target and Bayern seem to be preparing for his departure next year by bringing in reinforcements.
My guess is that Bayern will bring more reinforcements using the money they get from the Hargreaves deal (15 mil at best) from Manchester United – there’s a mini-clearout that will happen at Bayern at the end of the season as they rebuild and try to reclaim their ‘invincibility’ in the Bundesliga.
I’m sure Manchester United have noticed – but I also wonder if we have any ‘alternative’ signings lined up?

Alternative signings lined up? Well, based on what we saw in the summer and in January I would say we do not have any.

Sosa was bought to replace Sahiladzimic and Schaudlaff to replace Pizarro. Plus there are more signings to come. Foreget so called altenatives to Hargreaves. He is as good as a Unietd player now…
March 8th, 2007 @ 10:53as far as I am aware Manchester United have about 60million to soend! money from Nistelrooy still, money we didn’t spend in January plus this years budget! I can see us signing Owen Hargreaves, then two more big players, I don’t fancy eto’o but I do like the long term prospect of Torres and Ronaldo’s mate Nani!
March 8th, 2007 @ 19:50United will sign Hargreaves, Bale, Torres and Nani. While selling a few others like Silvestre, Eagles, Jones, Eckersley, Heinze or Brown. Maybe even Smith too (hopefully not!)while promoting Forster, Simpson, Bardsley, Evans, Pique, Gibson, Martin, Dong and Rossi.

March 13th, 2007 @ 05:38I have to say that alot of this is pure speculation but I’m going to have to agree with Keith about a few of those but also disagree with some… Eagles out? Not a chance. Up and coming player who has been on the fringes of breaking into the 1st team… I’ve got to say that I can see Gibson and Bardsley might be on their way though.
As for players in I think that Hargreaves will sign for us this summer. I think Nani would be a great signing as he is direct in his running, fast, skillfull and takes some amazing penalties… oh, and, he’s only friends with Ronaldo…
I’d like Owen for Man Utd… he has his hunger back after being out injured and he is a British born player. Torres is not consistent enough for me…
