Yea, a game that lived up to the hype. Only downside was the constant stoppages from fouls, but it was always going to be a physical game. Bundesliga is easily the most exciting league to watch. It has the most goals and the most back and forth open play. I get pretty bored trying to watch Premier league matches now.

Lucky win for Bayern, but they should of won this quite easily. Toni could of had 4 goals himself. He had 5 easy as heck chances and finally put one away at the end. Hoffenheim played well on the counter but the Bayern defense stepped up today and always matched their numbers. The Ibisevic goal was a little suspect; Oddo does go down easy, but there is clearly a shove. Rensing had 1 huge save in the midst of an otherwise shaky performance.

Very impressive performance by Beck from Hoffenheim. He's the first player I've seen all season who shut Ribery down. Another fun week ahead with the match in Lyon to battle for top CL spot and then away to Stuttgart to close out the 1st half of the season. Woot.

Didnt read the article, watched the match. What a cracker. Bayern was on the back foot from the beginning, but slowly gained towards the hour mark. They may have won but were extremely fortunate with both goals (the first a deflection, the second a loose ball). Even then they were playing better as Hoffenheim faded away so badly towards the end. Confirms my belief that the Bundesliga is the best..........

Just beware, Hoffenheim are - in a moral, philosophical sense - not exactly better than Bayern. Yes, they're newcomers but they're everything but that fairytale club operating on a tight budget with young, local players.

I haven't watched a Budesliga game for ages, but when I heard that there is a newcomer who leads the league I got intrigued and was waiting for this game. I hope they will not disappoint and bit Bayern.

I'd say in terms of physicality, the Bundesliga is the European league which comes closest to the Premier League. However, it always depends on which teams you see... Frankfurt vs. Karlsruhe might seem more physical and long-ball than, say, Hoffenheim's or Bremen's more Spain / Arsenal inspired style.
