yeah, that result was shocking. Now Bayern are fourth place, which is similar to 2006/2007 season, and Barcelona are in pole position in La Liga. Doesn’t bode well for Bayern. Barcelona will win this tie, although I am a fan of both clubs. What do you think Daniel?

I think the last time these clubs met in European competition (based on my memory and not research) was in the UEFA Cup back in the 1995-96 season… the same year Bayern MÃ¼nchen went onto play and win in the final against Zinedine Zidane’s Bordeaux. They were a bit more even back then but with Bayern coming off a 5-1 humiliation to Wolfsburg and BarÃ§a finding their form back in the league puts BarÃ§a back in the driver’s seat. “Sneaking” up on Hertha Berlin is a bit flattering no? More like crawling and slipping at the rate that Bayern are going.

i’m really excited to watch this game… two non-English sides, established football powers, one leading the Spanish league, one trying to sneak up on Hertha in the Bundesliga… this game will have goals. Guaranteed.
