Manchester United have been warned by the Bayern chief, that Thomas Muller is not for sale and that Van Gaal should look elsewhere.

Earlier this summer, United were linked with a stunning €100m move for Thomas Muller. SportBild claimed that Van Gaal is keen on a marquee signing and that he is prepared to splash the cash for the World Cup winner.

Manchester United have completed the sale of their record signing, Angel Di Maria to PSG and are now in the market for another attacking addition to fill the void.

The likes of Pedro, Gaitan, Benzema have been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but it seems Van Gaal is still keen on Thomas Muller.

Van Gaal’s interest in the Bayern Munich star has been confirmed by the club CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who claimed : ”

“Muller is not for sale. Our English colleagues seem to be unable to spend all of their money.

“It’s difficult. Everyone knows our old friend, Louis van Gaal. He is very stubborn in those things.

“Maybe he thinks that there is a price where Bayern will start to ruminate, but there is no price at all.”

United have also got rid of Robin Van Persie and Radamel Falcao this summer and it is imperative that the Red devils add more goals to their side, if they are to mount a title challenge and do well in the Champions league.

Thomas Muller has previously claimed that he intends to continue at Bayern, but it will be interesting to see how Van Gaal reacts to the warning from Rummenigge.
