BD, I don’t quite agree with what you say about Barca, but this isn’t the best time and place to argue about it, we’ll leave it for some other time.

About Fergie, I don’t think it negates his achievements in management but IMO, as I said before, he’s short of being legendary and most likely this was his last shot at it.

@Ruud: You sound exactly like a Liverpool fan when Utd win something or vice versa. Stop being a bitter Real fan and give credit where it is due.

@FF: I was very outspoken in favour of Chelsea after the semis but to win any cup competition you ride your luck at some point and over the season Barca have been outstanding and are worthy Champions.

@FF (again): You’ve been tampering with some substances my friend haven’t you? Just because Utd lost do you think it negates Fergie’s achievements in management?? He was very young himself when he did wonders at Aberdeen, a club somewhat less fashionable than Barca!

You’ll see… this match will never be remembered as a classic or even one of the great matches of this year, which it had the potential to be. When one side is as disappointing as Man U was and the other as mediocre as Barca was in comparison to their other performances this year, what could have been an exciting final turned into one of the poorer and less entertaining ones that I have seen. That said, Barca, without question, deserved to win the match, even if one could argue that they perhaps did not deserve to be there in the first place Man U did not even show why they deserved to be in contention for the Champions League.

bah… How did I know the barca bandwagon would glorify this match that was disappointing on both sides by saying that Barca played “magnificent” and “brilliant” and such? Did you watch the game? Barca were very unspectacular by their standards, so stop acting like they were so amazing. They showed up on the pitch that night, however, and that turned out to be all that was needed.

Would someone please bring to the attention of british medias the fact that a ManU fan killed intentionally four Barcelona fans driving a bus over douzens of people; ten remained injured. This is to emphasize about all those polemics happened in the last few weeks stigmatizing Rome’s organization of the Final. Many requested it’s replacement with some other city. Even though a ManU fan was stabbed on his leg in Rome none died! My basic question is: how you all can be that arrogant putting in doubt the others while yourselves should just flashback some twenty years to remember what you’re able of.

arsenal was soundly beaten in the semi’s by united you forget. barca played better in the final. as a united fan i’ve seen them play better no matter who the opposition/situation is. No use discussing the game in hindsight. barca is the champions now, just have to move on for next year. go united.

WOW! that was the best football match in the world that i have ever seen!it was perfect!barcelona did the best.manchester united played awfull and barcelona did the best.i like manchester united but barcelona is better.at all GUARDIOLLA is a very good coach.he is not very old but he is doing excelent.i hope man utd and fc barca never play together.

There is only one team in English league that can challenge Barcelona and that’s Arsenal. Pepe Gardiola said it before the semi-final draw that they were very scared of Arsenal as they play the same style of football. I knew from the begining that Barcelona will win it and I have no doubt that they have the best players in Europe right now. Messi deserves to win the ballon d’or and Thierry, Eto’o and Iniesta also deserve to be shortlisted for the award. Thierry Henry was the best player in the world while playing for Arsenal, unfortunately they did not give him the ballon d’or by jalousy. I hope he gets it next year with injury free. English football does not funcy me anymore since Henry left Arsenal, as he was the only player who knew how to entertain fans from any club. Good luck Barca for another Euro cup next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There was no comparison between Messie and Ronaldo as one was there to play his good football and the another one was just to tackling defender, instead of being tackled by defender as the game philisophy should be.
