Thanks Nig. Again, sloppiness on my part - I meant to insert the words 'away from home', and for some reason they never turned up.

As for the Kanoute foul, I've seen it again and despite wanting it to be a correct decision, I don't think there was a lot wrong, Kanoute's hand rests on Milito's shoulder, there is no real push or infraction. It was like the commentators say - a foul which is given all too often (and one was given against Henry in the first half) but no-one really knows why.

Nice report Hugo.
Just two things. First the replay shows quite clearly that Kanoute prevents Milito from jumping by putting his left arm on Milito's right shoulder, and the ref blew the foul before Kerzakhov shoots. I'm afraid I'm sad enough to record games and I've just checked this is so.
Second, at the end of your report you should say - no team has kept a shut-out against Barcelona in the league at Camp Nou since Espanyol did so on the 1st of March 2005 - I'm sure you are aware of the many times Barça have failed to score away from home, and Milan got a 0-0 draw at Camp Nou in the semi-final of the Champions League in 2006.
Feel free to criticize my report at FCBNews - http://fcbnews.com/barca-2-sevilla-1/

Sorry, lazy writing about Giovani. Mexican with Spanish and Brazilian citizenship - no wonder he's a good player ;)

I think it will be a while before Sevilla is back to 100%. Too many factors affecting them at the moment. They are still well organized, as we saw, but lack the spark of last season. Alves also is not playing as well as he can.

Messi is clearly Barcelona's best player and it shows, and although they won (and I predicted them to win), and overall probably deserved the win, (in part due to Sevilla's toothlessness excepting a few brief portions of the match), in a sense they were also quite lucky on two occasions: the penalty committed by Poulsen, which was absolutely schoolground quality and absurd; and the disallowed Kerzakhov goal, which people are still trying to explain.

I would have thought that after their defeat to Arsenal, Sevilla were more 'up' for this game.

Hope this doesn't mean that Arsenal are better than Barcelona now (although that is one match up I hope we see this season - probably not before the quarters though).

The return of the Catalans Giants. Sleeping far too long already. This is something to shout and cheer. This shows that how strong Barcelona is. This also shows that they dont only depend on Ronaldinho to perform. Go Go Barca!
