FC Barcelona reveal 11/12 kits

Champions of La Liga and Champions League finalists have finally revealed the 2011/2012 kits.

Last month there were two images circulating the internet showing the Barcelona home shirt. One was Ajax-style shirt and the other had much thinner stripes (Barca leaked home shirts). The latter was spot on.

The shirt will have seven red stripes and six blue stripes. The red stripes are thicker on top and switch thickness with the blue stripe as it goes down the shirt. The sleeves are blue and the shorts are going to be blue again with a red stripes.

The Qatar Foundation logo is displayed on the front of the shirt and we already know that the UNICEF logo will be displayed under the player number.

On the inside of the shirt, it features words from the club’s anthem ‘Tots units fem forca’ (translated: together we are stronger).

The shirts are completely made with recylced plastic bottles to create advanced technology with lower environmental impact. The advanced fabric delivers exceptional moisture transfer keeping the skin of the players comfortable and incredibly dry.

Precise ventilation zones increase the breathability and it targets key body areas for optimum cooling.

The Barcelona 11/12 Home Shirt will be available from 1st July, 2011.

The Barcelona away shirt was said to be black and it turns out the Barcelona away kit is going to be black. The kit is going to be plain black – the shirt, the shorts and the socks. The Nike logo and the QF logo is going to be in yellow.

Carles Puyol and Pedro modeled the Barcelona home and away kits for the first time on the official Barca website. Here is the photo gallery:
