Sylvie and Breast Cancer
One of our favorite WAGs and currently the Babe of the Month, Sylvie van der Vaart was diagnosed with breast cancer in May this year. Fortunately, it was caught in its early stages and operated before it could spread. Doctors had assured her that she would make a full recovery. Sylvie and her husband Rafael van der Vaart spent this difficult time in private.
Usually after going through chemotherapy people tend to lose hair and that is exactly what happened to Sylvie. She said:
“I lost my hair. The first day I had my wig, I thought, everyone’s looking at me, but now I’ve become accustomed to it – I sleep with it, I do sports with it.”
Personally, I liked the wavy hair on Ms. VDV better but she is certainly carrying the straight look extremely well.
