Kate Elizabeth Winslet was born on 5th October, 1975. She is an English actress and occasional singer. She has played some diverse characters over her career. She can be easily recognized from Sense and Sensibility, Titanic, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Little Children, Revolutionary Road and The Reader. She has six Academy Awards nominations and she won the award for her role in The Reader. Other than that, she has won the Screen Actors Guild, British Academy of Film and Television Arts and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
