Capello can’t stop the English WAGs to go see the World Cup
England’s coach Fabio Capello banned players’ wives and girlfriends from the team’s World Cup headquarter next summer for all but one day a week. Probably fearing the overshadowing of alcohol and parties just like during the World Cup 2006 campaign. But undaunted by Capello’s ban, Coleen McLoughlin (Wayne Rooney), Cheryl Tweedy Cole (Ashley Cole), Alex Curran (Steven Gerrard) and others will spend £1,200-a-night in Cape Town just to see their men after matches.
The plan is to travel around a thousand miles on a two hour flight to see the team in Rustenberg, near Johannesburg, and then back again. The initial plan was to stay on the paradise isle of Mauritius but it was changed due to security reasons, four hour flights and a hassle of passport control.
Lizzie Cundy, 38, is a presenter for Wedding TV’s Wags World and Sporting Icons’ Wives said:
“The girls want to be there to support their husbands and boyfriends.”
“They will fly in when Fabio allows the players to have a day’s relaxation after games.”
