Our friends over at Footy Boots are holding their annual football boots awards – and if you’re keen on football shoes then take out a few minutes, vote on the boots and have a look around the site, it’s THE website to go to for all football boots.
What’s also interesting is this message from former Liverpool player and current football boot designer, Craig Johnston, that was released in conjunction with the awards.
We’ve got the full text on this over at the football shirts blog, but the gist of it is that today’s football boots don’t offer enough flexibility (Johnston calls them ‘too safe’) and as a result are part of the reason why footballers get foot injuries.
